Shaheen, co-host of The Hot Tag podcast, noted he was right by the guerrilla position last night at the Royal Rumble and said that Daniel Bryan walked by him and the people he was with. He said that Bryan clearly heard and acknowledged them. He said that Bryan looked “super pissed” like Bret Hart looked at Survivor Series 97 when he was screwed. He said that Bryan literally looked for 2 seconds with his hands on his hips with a blank look on his face, ignored everyone and walked right out. “Forget all of the kayfabe…he was pissed.” He said this was interesting and that there were maybe 30 people that saw this and he was not selling for the camera since there were no cameras filming him. As noted earlier today, Dave Meltzer noted this morning that there were changes made during the show and even though they knew that the crowd would react negatively the company freaked out when they saw just how bad the reaction was at the end of the show for Roman Reigns. I honestly don't know how any wrestler who was involved in the Rumble match in any way can come away from that and say anything positive about it. Everything that was being built following Wrestlemaina 30 has crashed all around us. |

If Brock were to be on Raw someday so Seth could actually take advantage of the money in the bank. |

That's surely why Rusev was out of the ring as long as he was and when he went out. Officials were telling him the changes as they got them. |

WWE is reportedly no longer branding WrestleMania with numbers, at least with the logo. Instead, symbols are being used to distinguish each event. It was announced last week that WrestleMania will come to AT&T Stadium in Texas on April 3rd, 2016 and "32" is nowhere to be seen on the logo. It instead features a star to represent the "Lone Star State." On top of that, the logo for this year's WrestleMania features a "Play" button. to represent Silicon Valley, which is near Levi's Stadium, in Santa Clara, California. This is according to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, who said on Wrestling Observer Radio today that the events are no longer being branded with numbers "because Vince McMahon thinks it makes it sound too old." WHAT THE FUCK |

Isnt "too old" the reason JR is no longer commentating? It would have been funny if JR was commentating the Rumble, how he could possibly sell it in a good way. Anyway I think its dumb to remove the numbers. The numbers make it seem special I think, and in this case there's no shame in saying there have been 31 of these attractions. After all the superbowl still does it. |

Well... the numbers were beginning to get a little ''long''. So if Vince had announced a change for that reason, I might find a way to understand. But to change the logo because it sounds ''old'' is kinda baffling to me. If anything, the older Wrestlemania gets, the more prestigious it becomes. It gives the show a certain historic feeling whenever you're watching it, and the numbers only serve to remind us just how many memorable, incredible, disappointing, heartbreaking, and happy moments have been showcased at this magnificent event. This is what separates it from almost every other wrestling PPV out there in the industry. It's supposed to be the show to end all shows, the battleground of the immortals, and that's what makes it so breathtakingly special to witness. One could argue that the logo was used as a means of highlighting and representing what the Grandest Stage of 'em all was all about. It serves as a visual cue for everything that came beforehand, and helps us to look forward to the future. So I'd hate to see it change for absolutely no other reason than, ''it makes it sound old''. News flash Vince, you're old! Does that mean we can change you? |

Pretty much my thoughts. The numbers give it an added sense of prestige, comparable to other numbered sports events like, as you said, the Super Bowl. Jesus fucking christ, Vince... |

For over 20 years WWE has compared Wrestlemania to the NFL's Super Bowl, which to me was the reason for the numerals. Getting rid of the numerals takes away tradition and makes something special just... something. Vince is just doing nothing right anymore. |

If that were possible, Vince would just stuff Cena's, Rock's, Austin's, and all the other big names brains into robots and he wouldn't have to run WWE. The show would run itself. |

) . Personally, I don't want a rehash of the Attitude Era, instead, I just want a great product that can god forbid make Vince loads of money. But they need to start treating their tv shows like legitimate tv shows. Maybe hiring some writers who have worked on soap operas or say something like SNL, who can write scripts with a limited amount of time to fill content across every tv show including the minor ones. Then they need to hire personnel that are specialists in improv and ad libbing to teach these superstars to work off/away from script. How many of these wrestlers can adjust what they're saying to how a crowd responds to it (maybe they aren't even allowed to do that so I don't know
) . Basically the scripts would be a loose framework for wrestlers to work from but then they need to have the ability adjust on the fly to how crowds react. Engage with the crowd or don't, just do something that gets them emotionally invested in the performance. And if I were Roman Reigns shoes last night, I would have picked up a mic and simply said, "fuck you - this is my moment. not yours." to that Philly crowd. Boom, drop the mic. He probably would have gotten cheers after that. lol
