So I'd hate to see it change for absolutely no other reason than, ''it makes it sound old''. News flash Vince, you're old!

Does that mean we can change you?
Vince is going to stuff his brain into a robot and run WWE forever.
If that were possible, Vince would just stuff Cena's, Rock's, Austin's, and all the other big names brains into robots and he wouldn't have to run WWE. The show would run itself.
I'd subscribe to a network that featured Austin-bot delivering stunners left and right before guzzling down 2 cans of motor oil while standing on the second rope.

And you'd still pay the 9.99 even after watching Bryan Bot get eliminated from the BattleBot Battle Royal after 18 seconds while Big Show Bot won and went on to Botchamania to beat Brock Bot after landing a KO punch on his power button. After which Brock Bot leaves and goes to Ultimate BattleBot Championship promotion to fight Punk Bot in a shoot.

Maybe that's where all of the creative input has gone. Everyone in the back must be focusing all their energy into finding a way to prolong Vince's life.

Which certainly would explain a lot. :P

The following are highlights from Jim Ross' latest blog:

On WWE Royal Rumble criticism: ''The negativity that I'm receiving on our Q&A’s and on Twitter @JRsBBQ regarding the Royal Rumble is getting silly. If someone asks my take on the WWE Royal Rumble and how it ended and I don’t agree exactly with their opinion then I'm a WWE sycophant. I am stating facts from my 40 years in the business and not knee jerking my way into being incoherent. It's mighty easy to book pro wrestling storylines after the fact. As easy as it is to make a wrong turn it's just as easy to get back on the right path. I learned years ago that there are multiple ways to do the right thing while compiling wrestling storylines and it's just as easy if not easier to pick virtually any idea a part. To say that wrestling creative is subjective might be the understatement of the year.''

On TNA Impact Wrestling: ''Good to hear that TNA is improving their TV audience as all wrestling fans should be pulling for ALL groups to do well. The issue there is that Destination America is in a smaller amount of homes than, say, Spike TV, and the chances of @ImpactWrestling to exceed their Spike numbers will be extremely challenging. Nonetheless, the brand has several talents that like and at one point in my career with who I would have loved to have worked. Check these folks out on Friday nights, which actually is another challenge as Friday nights are tough as most TV producers will tell you.''

On the build to WrestleMania 31: ''In wrestle speak, having 60 days to build to a card such as WM31 is a lifetime in today's grappling world. I'm motivated to go along for the ride WWE will provide us and see, at the end of the day, how all this will work out building to the biggest event of the year and one, ironically, that many promotions and wrestling entrepreneurs will gravitate to to earn monies off the fans that WM31 will attract….and that includes yours truly as well.''
Oh yes, it's true it's true!

WWE stock is up over 20% today as of this rating following the announcement that the WWE Network has reached 1 million subscribers after just 11 months.

Currently above $12.50 per share, this is the highest that WWE stock has been valued since October 2014.

In WWE’s press release issued earlier today regarding the Network hitting 1 million subscribers, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon said:

“We’re thrilled that we’ve surpassed the 1 million subscriber milestone less than a year after launching WWE Network and in advance of WrestleMania, our biggest event of the year on March 29. We remain focused on delivering an outstanding value proposition for ours fans by adding new content and new features in the coming year.”

WWE rumored to be offering another free month of the Network in February in hopes of retaining new subscribers in March for WrestleMania 31.

Bubba Ray Dudley was interviewed by the official WWE website about his surprise appearance in Sunday’s 30-man Royal Rumble match in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

When asked how the appearance came bout, Dudley said, “WWE called me about a month ago and said, ‘Would you like an opportunity in the Royal Rumble?'” And I said, ‘Absolutely.’ I showed up here today and they said, ‘We want you to be a surprise.’ I thought that was great, and I hid all day.”

Dudley also spoke about the chances of returning full-time either as a singles competitor or as one-half of the Dudley Boys tag-team alongside his longtime partner, D-Von Dudley.

“If the WWE Universe and the WWE higher-ups want to see us here, then yes, hopefully there is a future,” said Dudley. “I really say it’s up to the fans. By the reaction tonight, I’d say the fans would love to see us back. And hopefully we can do it.”

On the news of WWE releasing it's Network numbers early, IDK how those figures are calculated. Does this include only paying subscribers or does it include all traffic including those from November's free month?

WWE obviously attempting at damage control with investors and analysts, this news wasn't supposed to be released until next month. We'll wait and see what the subscription #'s are for this quarter when those are released in April-May... just after Mania.

My fear is that while wrestling fans are no longer a "fickle bunch" when it comes to wrestlers, they are when it comes to forgetting about WWE fucking them. Come March, most are going to forget all about Rock being thrust out there to alleviate the backlash from Roman Reigns winning and the disgusting treatment of the fans of Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, Ryback, and Daniel Bryan.

It's been 14 years since WWE had any direct competition. New Japan's product blows WWE's away by far, but they don't have the money to compete with Vinnie Mac and their location and wrestlers ethnicity is also a considerable challenge. I'll say this: if Dragon Gate could create a US promotion, why couldn't New Japan do something similar with a mostly Western roster? Maybe occasionally guys like Okada, Tanahashi, and Nakamura could tour part time in the US like Brock does for WWE now while full time guys like maybe Cesaro, Ziggler, Bryan, and others could jump ship from WWE to this New Japan-American Promotion (New JAP)?

That's the thing, though. It's not as simple as mark and smark anymore. Everyone knows it's scripted and everyone uses the internet so 'IWC' is a bum term these days. I'd say there's different levels of fan these days. Casuals (your sort of "I used to watch when the Rock was there" etc etc), then your sort of tumblr/twitter types who know it's fake and watch regularly but don't care about the intricacies, then there's assholes like me who download Raw at 5 in the morning despite claiming that they 'hate the product, really'. There are different audiences. This is why, despite Reigns getting (frankly) blown the fuck out at the Royal Rumble, he's still over massively with other parts of the audience. It's also why despite hardcore fans having a shitfit with #CancelWWENetwork, the WWE only lost something like 12-30k subs out of a million or so. So, the brutal fact is, if all of the smark types just give up and start watching NJPW or Lucha Underground, WWE probably won't be sunk, they'll just aim the product at teenage girls and have three hours of Roman groping Ambrose and making innuendoes on Monday. You know, "I'm going to spear you", stuff like that.
Not changing this signature until John Cena wins a world title.

What you say is very accurate and I disagree with none of it. I've come to the conclusion that this is WWE now: it's now a corporate entertainment entity that stands for its investors and not its fans. It's like G4. It was a great channel that had probably the highest audience satisfaction rates, but a low audience, then at some point the big wigs said, "Fuck the audience that kept us alive in the early years, we need more viewers and money." Viola, you got a Spike tv clone and now a channel for queers.

I'm not going to stop watching WWE altogether... at least not yet, but I don't have to watch this shit every Monday night and I sure as hell don't have to and will not be paying for it directly through the WWE Network.

Let's look at the next 2-3 years everyone. Think about the talent that will be around/debuting and not be around/retiring (that actually is used, not just on the roster)

Gone/Retired

-Taker
-Kane
-Show
-Lesnar
-Khali
-Henry

Around/Debuting

-Rollins
-Ambrose
-Reigns
-Zayn
-Ownes
-Itami
-Balor

The era of the "Giant" is going away... While the storytelling in WWE is at an all-time low, the talent pool is as good as i can remember

Thoughts? Feelings?

If the talent pool is that good explain to me why Dean Ambrose hasn't won a highly touted match since last Summer. This should be the period like with Rollins and Ambrose he should be getting a push, instead he's this cooky jester type who can't win a match and whose finisher I've forgotten because he never uses it.

I hear Ziggler is really pushing for a one-on-one match against Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania.

After the Royal Rumble he tweeted, ''Yo DB, was pulling for you, brother. but if you really want to steal the show #WrestleMania Im here & angrier.''

Bryan simply responded, ''I'm in!''

Ziggler also tweeted the following on Wednesday:

''WE signed our lives away… you have no idea, but it's always been there. introduced as afterthoughts, repeatedly forced to prove why WE belong, told the sky was the limit yet knowing there was no chance… 1 broke through that ceiling after an unprecedented fight, 1 has been banging his head against it for years. 1 is a nice guy with a killer instinct, 1 is not afraid to rub people the wrong way to get what it is his. 1 is thankful & smiles, 1 smirks & says damn right. 2 different, yet legitimate backgrounds. 2 stars who became super purely bc they weren't supposed to. Stealing the show is a catchphrase. Get over IT! WE sure as hell did! I dare you to take IT away from US! WE already own that RING. WE are the saints…''
Oh yes, it's true it's true!
