At least he was a heel when he did that. DX did the blackface thing as faces during those skits they did and people ate it up. Some of that Attitude Era stuff has not aged well |

Oh man, no doubt. They still treat the women pretty poorly but at least they aren't having legit wrestlers like Paige and Natalya bounce around in a lingerie pillow fight. Baby steps |

Great ending to that Raw. The casket was rolled out with DX graffiti all over it. HBK was killing it on the mic and then show goes off the air with Taker pulling HBK into the casket. |

Looking back at the Attitude Era some of it is not as good as it seemed back then, and some is like that Goldust match, how did they get away with that? But that's a pretty good assessment of the 90s in general. |

I'm sure a lot of stuff from the Attitude Era is not good, we just remember the good stuff first because of he memorable it was. I'd say that overall, the Attitude Era is much better than what we have now because besides SuperCena, Punk, Lensar, and Bryan I can't remember damn thing anyone else has done the past 4 or 5 years. I read that Goldust was really committed to his freaky gimmick, to the point where he was prepared to get breast implants. |

In the latest issue of Muscle & Fitness Magazine with Vince McMahon talked about the future of WWE. ''Our future from a corporate standpoint is extremely strong because we have so many talented executives, and they all bring different strengths to the table. Steph and Paul will certainly have significant roles going forward. I think when I kick, the organization is going to change, and I think for the better, because there's no one person who can do all that I can do because of my background. There’s no one individual who's going to take my place.'' He went on to say that if he retires or goes up to that ''big ring in the sky,'' WWE will be fine, even though he firmly believes that ''no one person'' will be able to accomplish what he did. He also mentioned why The Undertaker is his favourite wrestler of all time: ''…because of his loyalty, his longevity, and his extraordinary commitment to his character. We have lots of fun creating fun. [Superstars] try to crack each other up from time to time, and we all have tried to get Undertaker to break character, and we can't do it. He is such a professional and an extraordinary human being behind the character. He's committed to his craft and has worked through his injuries.'' |

This is interesting. Bobby Fulton (one-half of the former tag-team known as The Fantastics) recently ripped into Vince McMahon and WWE in one of his latest blogs. The following was posted on his official Facebook page soon after McMahon's appearance on the latest Muscle & Fitness magazine cover was released: ''Vince sure is ripped. He's a master of ripping people off, like all the wrestlers like me from the territory days. He stole our likeness, who we are, and our intellectual property of our matches. WWE has admitted they don't have any of our signed releases most don't get a dime for DVD's sold in major stores world wide and online or The WWE Network. Come on Vince really man up pay up. Scott Ammon said you paid a lot for libraries of video from World Class, Mid South, UWF and other regions. Please share this and let WWE know its time to pay up! If you buy an album from the 70s or 80s the artist and song writers are still paid. Even though the work was done decades ago. Same with movies and TV shows. So why not pay the wrestlers of my era for the DVDs of our work that are being sold in major retail stores world wide? A select few are being paid. Why not all of us? If they feel we are important enough to be on those DVDs and The Network then we should be important enough to have a fair share for everyone. I'm not bitter. I had a great career. Not all of us ended up like Randy The Ram even though they try to make you think that. I have been successful in other business ventures. I like many others have had life after wrestling. We are only asking for it to be fair across the board. If wrestler A is being paid for videos of matches against wrestler B. Should not wrestler B also be paid? Fair is Fair.'' He also wrote this (but was later deleted from his blog): ''Please share to all Wrestling related groups and pages! And let WWE know! This is the time to let our voices be heard. For those that are appearing on merchandise that has lost their health, their families, and some their lives. The problem is he wants to pay for the future by ripping off the past, he has once said that the past didn't exist. If Egypt can be overturned and changed so can Vince McMahon and so can his WWE empire. Let your voices be heard and help us to let ours be heard! … As people got behind us years ago. Get behind us one more time. Support us in this effort. We just got it up on the WWE page. Please go there and share my post on Vince's Muscle Body and Fitness. It gives us the power! ?#?WWEPAYUSNOW?! … I'm getting lots of questions one i spoke with wwe scott ammon he said we could beat WWE on a state level for stealing our likeness, name, intellectual property . Wwe scott ammon said we will beat you in court on a federal level . He said we paid certain people Lots of money . Problem is you paid the wrong people . Its time to pay up the talent not just top names but also the refs enhancement and announcers that is being distributed by WWE. They have no signed releases . Even scott ammon told me that . Help us in our plight your voice is heard and does count . Be silent no longer . Deflate Vince McMahon now! Go to WWE's page and tell them to pay the wrestlers the royalties that owe them. If they are on merchandise for example the network or dvds. That is how to voice your opinion! If you want to help us you can contact the following sponsors and tell them what WWE has been doing: General Motors, Ford Motor Co., Disney, DreamWorks, Paramount, Kmart, Subway, Taco Bell, Colgate, Frito-Lay, Schick and Mattel.'' |

Cassandra Frazier, widow of the late Nelson Frazier Jr., (Big Daddy V, Viscera) has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against WWE on the one-year anniversary of his passing. The lawsuit states that WWE did not warn its’ performers about concussions or head injuries, and states that the company allowed Frazier to wrestle with pneumonia despite the fact that he suffered from diabetes, an enlarged heart and obesity. Frazier’s lawsuit plays on similar themes of other lawsuits filed against WWE by the likes of Billy Jack Haynes and Big Vito LoGrasso. I don't what Bobby Fulton's deal is but if he has a problem with what the WWE is doing, get a lawyer. The problem he may run into is the gimmicks aka the characters they take on in the wrestling ring are not entirely owned by the performer. Say someone like Scott Hall, who doesn't own the Razor Roman gimmick, may not entitled to all the royalties from his matches as that character. Even though Hall helped create that gimmick, he wasn't allowed to take it with him. Hall may not be the best example to use here because I'm sure whatever Legends deal he has right now is paying him a decent amount. Anyways, I'm definitely not an expert on intellectual property (IP) and copyright infringement but certain questions may have to be asked in a court of law. Who owns the character - WWE or the wrestler himself? Did anyone assist in helping mold that character? So auxiliary people like Jim Johnston who may have created the theme, the costume designer who created the ring attire, etc. What if the character ripped off or too closely imitated another character from a different IP. Scott Hall's two most famous gimmicks he created, Razor Ramon and Crow Sting, blatant ripoffs from Scarface and The Crow... so does James O'Barr, the guy who created The Crow and Oliver Stone who wrote the screenplay deserve royalties for those gimmicks too? This guys is screaming about getting paid long after he performed in the ring and I don't have a problem with him fighting for it. But to think what they do in the ring is akin to what goes on with movies, music and tv shows is silly. The wrestling industry has gotten to the heights it has because it an industry where performers and backstage personnel ripoff other ideas whether it's taking a particular move in the ring from a guy an ocean away in Japan or creating a gimmick based off a comic book a la Sting or Hulk Hogan... is anything truly original in this business and if it isn't, who all should get royalties for this lack of originality? |

You also tend to find some of these people complaining once their financial status has changed in some way, whereas beforehand they seemed perfectly happy to let it slide.
