An interesting idea, conversation came to mind just now as i read through the "Unpopular opinion" section we have. What would you guys think of WWE doing something like Tiger Mask w/ the Undertaker? Have a young wrestler w similar physical features transition into being the Undertaker and "continuing his legacy"? Fun idea to talk about i feel.
Well, there's a bit of a difference between the Tiger Mask and Undertaker and it's the mask obviously. In comic books you can have multiple people play the hero under the mask because the hero is a symbol of the hopes of the people for justice and such, the Undertaker is a symbol for good gimmicks. Doesn't really translate.

Also, some kid stepping into that role would be overwhelmed and the gimmick might possibly hold him back. As much as I think Wyatt's character needs some serious changes, notably having him STFU and get a manager, sliding another creepy dude into the ultimate creepy dude role of replacing the Undertaker with a gimmick not associated with him and more original is the better option.

That was my next question! Well done!!! Is Wyatt the right fit to take over the "Undertaker" role as supernatural guy in WWE?

The potential is certainly there... I'm not sure whether WWE has any idea how to make a character like this work in today's product.
Oh yes, it's true it's true!

I'd like the supernatural guy to be someone supernatural in talent. And the guy who fits the bill is Cesaro. Just give the lad a good gimmick to run with and he's money.

Out of anybody who could be the next Austin gimmick, Cesaro fits the bill perfectly. Punk had the attitude and desire, but Cesaro has the skill and the look.

That seems more like "9 venues that we think are really cool even though there's no chance a Wrestlemania will ever be held at most of them"

Like they're gonna host a Wrestlemania in Tehran anytime soon.

Ann Arbor would be cool for SummerSlam, not Maina

That would depend on how hot he is with crowds in the States in the build up to a Mania in England.

Tokyo Dome? If they were there, Dave Meltzer would give every match 5 stars.
Not changing this signature until John Cena wins a world title.

Did you guys hear about this joshi controversy? It's pretty gross

Background: There are these two wrestlers named Act Yasukawa and Yoshiko. They don't get along too well and from what I read they don't get along solely because Yoshiko was jealous of ACT's rising popularity. From my understanding, ACT is basically one of the most likable people in all of wrestling - she was bullied throughout her entire life, she's fought a variety of health problems, and through fighting tooth and nail she finally started to get a break at almost 30 years old. As we all know that's pretty old for a female wrestler to be just bursting onto the scene. She was told that because of her underlying health concerns that she might be unable to have a child if she continued her wrestling career but she still kept wrestling anyway because it was her dream. Here's a story on her from last year. Also worth noting is that ACT has been partially blind in her right eye throughout her life and recently had surgery on it.

Then there's Yoshiko who is a gigantic piece of shit. They had a match and Yoshiko was purposely targeting ACT's surgically-repaired right eye. She broke her orbital bone and her nose; doctors suspect there might be a detached retina but the swelling around her eyes is so bad that they can't confirm the detached retina. So now she's going to be out of action for a long time and given her age it's gonna be even harder for her to come back and make an impact when she gets better (assuming this doesn't end her career altogether).

Here are a couple pictures, they're a little gross:

Here's a video, the match starts at about 3:40

I remember reading about this incident not too long ago.

I don't really know what to say... It's incredibly disheartening to believe that a fellow wrestler would purposely try and harm someone who's only trying to fulfil their dreams. Here's hoping she makes a speedy recovery and doesn't face Yoshiko in a rematch anytime soon.

I suppose that's one way to get into the Hall of Fame, make constant slanderous rumours about the folks in charge.
