Might just be a contract dispute. They're negotiating a new deal for him to stay after Wrestlemania and maybe he's just not happy with the money offered.

Must be nice to get paid this much whilst sitting at home doing nothing.

Exactly. There will be more about stealing Taker's soul, and being the face of fear, but that seems tacked on because the Streak is dead so there's nothing else to challenge Taker at Mania for. Then Bray has to win this. He has to. But even then it creates a 'so what' effect. Undertaker goes 21 -0, then loses 2 straight then retires and goes into the HoF? What was the point?
The point is the storyline going into Mania next year of Taker losing two straight matches at Mania and that he's lost "it."

Then at the end of the show, Taker will overcome the mental block and beat Sting in their retirement match.

I always hear stories from wrestlers (a lot on Austin's podcast) who praise Taker for being such a smart guy, a locker room leader, and having a ton of respect for him. So you'd think if he heard a stupid idea he would say "No".

Yep... Lesnar apparently walked out on the show last night due to some conflict he's having with WWE.

They probably asked him whether he was willing to show up for an extra day, which naturally lead to Brock having a tantrum. I wouldn't be surprised if he's sitting at home now, sulking over this.
The last day on Lesnar's current contract is the day after Mania.

Highly unlikely, but the plan may be for Lesnar to keep the belt at Mania and have Rollins cash in the day after.

again HIGHLY UNLIKELY

It's already been booked - I got a great deal on Priceline!

It really would be such a wasted opportunity for them not to have Rollins cash in his briefcase during the actual event itself.

It'll at least give the crowd something to gush over once it's all over. As well as lending us hope for the future.

I can just imagine what the end result would look like if Brock tried to give off the same intensity/emotion during this promo.

It's probably best to leave the mic work up to Heyman. :P

Imagine if Lesnar no-showed Mania.

That would be the biggest story in wrestling for the next 20 years.

Went to the Smackdown tapings in Atlanta yesterday. Overall, it was fun, although I wish I knew I wouldn't have to work today and I probably could have had a better time.

There was a bit more fun to this Smackdown taping than the last one (although I think I liked the wrestling on the last one, more). The last Smackdown seemed to lack energy from the crowd, perhaps due to the lack of accepted star power (Shield-Wyatts was the dark match main event, instead of the DB and Shield vs Wyatts and Orton match that was advertised when I bought those tickets). Daniel Bryan lit up the crowd every time he appeared. While the ghosts of John Cena and Orton were more popular than the people actually appearing on the show, the crowd still had more energy having the B+ player in the building.

It certainly felt like a more entertaining show, with a little more fun than Raw.

While I appreciate that WWE tries to make Smackdown look and feel like a live show, I do believe they could benefit from playing around with the taped format and doing some more to engage the live crowd with some stuff that doesn't make air.

Also of note, Roman Reigns's only live appearance on the show was for the dark match main event against Bray Wyatt (also not appearing in front of the live crowd during the show) (also not the advertised dark match, which was supposed to be DB-Ambrose and Reigns vs Rollins Show and Wyatt). WWE probably made a mistake, as Reigns got by far the best reaction I've heard him get since the Rumble here (maybe due in some small part to playing football at the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology). The dark match itself, while short (maybe to its benefit) felt much better than the matches I remember these two having in the past.

During Reigns's fairly awkward interview, it occurred to me how manufactured the Reigns-Lesnar feud is. For all intents and purposes, we don't know for certain that Brock Lesnar knows Roman Reigns's name. WWE wants this to be some "unstoppable force meeting the immovable object" dream match and I get that, but it isn't resonating and that is really the only juice this feud has going for it at the moment. For a match WWE has been planning for since Summerslam, if not when the Shield broke up, I can't remember WWE blowing a plan this badly outside of, perhaps, Orton's split with Evolution.

While Brock Lesnar may not know who Daniel Bryan is, we know and have seen that Bryan could make that work for him. Daniel vs Goliath may be just as manufactured, but with the parties involved, I believe that's a story that would resonate a lot better than this Godzilla vs Mecha-Godzilla. At this point, Lesnar and Reigns might as well be WWE action figures fresh out of the packaging, because they have no ties, no connections, not even enough contrast in personality. They are two manufactured WWE endorsed products set against each other. It's Coke vs Diet Coke. What's worse, is that Reigns and WWE proving far too green to find a way to make this story connect or resonate.

When Paul Heyman misses the mark, there are serious issues.

I'm not sure if I'd be willing to accept Daniel Bryan chasing the Intercontinental Championship. On one hand, it may lead to the IC Belt playing a more prominent role in the company again. On the other, Bryan certainly deserves to be a main event player, especially after everything he's been through.

If the Brock Lesnar and WWE haven't resolved their issues by this weekend, then the worse case scenario would be Vince stripping the WWEWHC from him, and then maybe putting it up for grabs between Reigns/Bryan at Wrestlemania. Not that I'm suggesting I want this to happen (I was originally all in favour of a Lesnar-Bryan encounter), but at the same time, I don't want to see Bryan downgraded.

Personally, I don't think Bryan should be anywhere near the IC belt. Let's just hope he remains in the main event picture coming off Wrestlemania.

At this point it might be the best option we have.

Option 1: Fatal 4 way for the IC title with Bryan, Ziggler, Ambrose, and Barrett
Option 2: A throwaway match between Bryan and Sheamus that means nothing
Option 3: Uhhh

See... It's pretty disgusting that WWE are allowing Reigns to get away with this.

The #1 contender's spot should now automatically go to Daniel Bryan (IMO).

I was following that rumor last night and it's unverified at this point. No reliable source like Meltzer is reporting on it and I'm sure Meltzer would be all over it if it was something he knew.

I wasn't planning on releasing the news until it was confirmed... But considering how much effort WWE have made hiding whatever took place, I can honestly say that I now have my suspicions.
