Maybe Roman should do a shooting star press.
Only after the Big Show has done one first.

Continuing his long tradition of bringing joy to the terminally ill, professional wrestler John Cena paid a surprise visit yesterday to the ailing Total Non-Stop Action (TNA) wrestling promotion.

“Keep your chins up, little buddies,” Cena said to the entire TNA roster, all of whom are suffering from inoperable booking and chronic wasted talent.

“I’m rooting for you.”

TNA has been dying a slow and painful death for a number of years, but its condition worsened drastically in 2009 due to the cancerous arrival of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.

The beleaguered company has suffered one setback against another, from the devastating misuse of Samoa Joe to a near-fatal onset of Claire Lynch.

Cena, who has nobly delivered messages of hope and optimism to hundreds of ill patients, said it “was pretty heartbreaking to see how bad things are looking for poor little TNA.”

Experts say the prognosis for TNA has become especially grim lately, and that it would take a miracle — or perhaps just some sensible booking and a renewed focus on the X-Division — to save it.

Cena is scheduled to make another Make-A-Wish visit tomorrow to The New Day.
Oh yes, it's true it's true!

TNA wasn't dying b4 Hogan and Bishoff arrived. They were doing well for themselves, but I think they were going to fall apart at some point. All Hogan, Bishoff, Russo and the other vestiges of WCW did was speed up what was likely going to happen with the Carter family running TNA anyway.

TNA had the talent, but blew it through their booking. TNA had and still has the women who are every bit as good as the girls in NXT... and TNA failed to promote them enough.

I'm adamant that if TNA inverted their roster of males and females back when they were on Spike, they would have gotten a ratings boost that lasted at least a year with the new formula of mostly women's wrestling and a ton of buzz. TNA could have eaten up a ton of the women on the Indy's, stolen some from WWE, and gotten some Lucha's from Mexico and Joshi's from Japan and become the world capital of women's wrestling.

They didn't and they couldn't think of anything original to compete with the WWE and just drifted off to sea.

Everyone's favorite Use, Jey, will be out 6 months after surgery. Guess we know what Sandow's new gimmick will be.

He'll still own it; it's Sandow.
Not changing this signature until John Cena wins a world title.

You know, I was thinking today; what exactly is the incentive of going and staying in WWE these days? You're likely to get buried, you won't make as much money, and the lustre of it 'being the best' is fading away.

What would happen if someone like a Randy Orton or a Daniel Bryan (not Cena- he makes millions but he's a company man 4 lyfe) said, "Fuck this (company)", took their money away, and formed their own federation; in which their friends followed suit?

If I end up liking his portrayal then he's failed to live up to the standard of what being one half of The Usos is all about.

I think it would flounder pretty quickly. I don't think any superstar would have enough money to start their own federation and pay for the salaries of the talent even with the money they make from shows and such. Plus, since it'd be a new federation, those that are already in WWE would be foolish to go try out an experimental federation when they're already assured six figures.

Though maybe I'm missing a bigger picture.

WWE still makes the most money. Just do whatever they tell you and you'll make money. Case in point Miz, Kofi, Bryan, Ambrose, Ziggler, Ryback, etc. Those guys just do what they're told and they get paid more than most people.

But if you really want to be the top guy, show people you're the most complete package of a wrestler, yeah don't bother with WWE. WWE isn't where the best go to perform, it's where the best go to get paid.

I really have nothing more I can say.

Hopefully that'll change when Vince retires, which is basically when he dies.

Daniel Bryan’s health has been a major topic of concern behind the scenes during WWE’s ongoing European tour.

The original plan for last night’s RAW was for Daniel Bryan to wrestle John Cena in a long, grueling match that would have pitted US Champion vs. IC Champion in a special attraction match for the UK crowd. The end result of Rusev attacking John Cena was scripted all along, but over the weekend, the decision was made to pull Bryan from the match and have Bad News Barrett wrestle Cena instead. The reason for Bryan’s removal was not disclosed to the producers.

While Daniel Bryan is still performing on the European tour, WWE is keeping his physicality limited. The talk backstage is that he’s either hurting or has an injury that could take him out of action soon. Bryan will undergo a thorough medical evaluation when he gets back to the United States.

As of this writing, Bryan is still scheduled to defend against Bad News Barrett at Extreme Rules on April 26th.

Bryan is telling people he’s not injured and is just hurting, but WWE is playing it safe until they get more conclusive information.
