Apparently WWE have shown interest in signing Hafþór Björnsson to the roster. For those of you not familiar with the name, Hafþór plays the character Gregor Clegane in the TV series Game of Thrones.

John Cena spoke with Caller.com this week to promote Sunday’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Here are some highlights:

–He said the United States championship is finally getting the respect it deserves and truly is “the trophy of our country.”

–He talked about using the Springboard Stunner, which was obviously influenced by Stone Cold Steve Austin. He adopted the move because he needed to pull out something special against Rusev. “Believe it or not, with all my in-ring experience, I actually took back to the canvas, and practiced a little bit, had some fun; and that’s what I came up with.”

–The US Title Open Challenge is a way to give Superstars opportunity. He used Daniel Bryan as a ‘fantastic example’ of somebody who had the talent but had to go the extra mile to earn the breaks he deserved. Cena’s giving guys a chance to step up to the place, which raises the value of the title.

Does he have any wrestling experience or are they just interested in him because he's a giant dude?

I'm not sure.

The article I red mentioned that Hafþór trained with a couple of WWE superstars, and how some of the staff were impressed... or something.

So...is ROH number 2 yet?

TNA certainly is number 2 and has been for years.

Unless Lesnar's deal has changed, there's a strong possibility his work dates may be used up by years end.

I guess so long as he works SummerSlam against Joe or Owens, I'm happy.

I've heard that he's also going to work the international house show in Japan.

As soon as Lesnar's name gets dropped, all the attention focuses on him. He's the best draw WWE has and I think he could wrestle another 7 years.

I have a feeling that the slump WWE's been in for the past few years is about to end soon as guys like Joe, Owens, and others debut. The only thing holding them back is Vince and Creative.
