RANDOM FACT: Sheamus vs. Randy Orton from this past RAW was the 15th one-on-one match they've had. NINE of them have ended in a no contest or DQ.
Reading this makes me feel ill...

Quite amazing to think that, shown on TV/PPV, John Cena vs. Randy Orton is only 6 ahead on 21. A lot more decisive, though - Cena has 13 wins to Orton's 7, with 1 no contest. Still means they've had 100 non-televised one-on-one matches...

It is with a heavy heart that The American Dream Dusty Rhodes has passed away today and the wrestling world has lost a great legend

And I'm still pissed we couldn't get a Goldust/Stardust match at Mania. Fuck you Vince.

Indeed. Dusty could have been involved and all 3 would have a moment they would never forget. Instead we're left with Stardust saying Cody is dead and so is his father as the last of that.

Who knows, maybe Dusty's death could be the reinvigoration of the Stardust-Goldust feud after Gold returns in a few months.

In the meantime, this could put Stardust back in the spotlight instead of jobbing all the time.

In an update on the WWE status of Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman, both guys are scheduled to return at WWE RAW next Monday night in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lesnar and Heyman will be back again the next week in Indianapolis, and are both planned to be regulars on television at least through the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.

Lesnar’s next high-profile match is scheduled to be at the WWE Battleground pay-per-view on July 19th, however he’s also booked fr the July 4th live WWE Network special from Japan, where he will be taking on Kofi Kingston.

It’s worth noting that the current plan is that WWE will not be promoting the 7/4 live special from Japan the same way they did with the recent Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

As noted last week, Tyson Kidd suffered a spinal cord injury during his match against Samoa Joe prior to WWE RAW. The latest update is that he might need to undergo surgery, which would keep him out of action for a year or more.

Since the recent concussion lawsuits, WWE has been very secretive on releasing detailed injury information.

On the latest edition of former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen’s “You’re Welcome!” podcast, WWE performer Paul Heyman appeared as a guest.

During the show, which you can download at PodcastOne.com, Heyman spoke about the controversy stemming from his discussion with Steve Austin on the latest edition of the “Stone Cold Podcast” on the WWE Network.

Heyman told Sonnen that he caught Austin off guard with the comments about a match at WrestleMania 32 with Brock Lesnar, noting that he and Austin agreed not to talk off-air.

Heyman said that he couldn’t sit through an hour-long podcast with Austin without bringing that question up. Heyman did mention that there is pretty much zero chances of Austin doing the match, as he noted Austin had a “plethora of reasons” why it wouldn’t go down.

By the end of the show, Sonnen told Heyman he thought he was working him, but Heyman didn’t respond.

Even if Kidd does come back after a year, his window is going to be very close to being shut. By that, I mean he won't have many years left to wrestle. Austin only got about 2-3 years from his neck surgery in '99 and Edge about 7 years.

Shit, even after 7 years, a rather long time for a repaired neck, Edge couldn't even fight off the Authority last year showing just how devastating a spinal injury is.

The only guy to ever come back from a spine injury was HBK and I think that was just because he spent 4 years inactive and as such, his back was able to fully heal. I think there is credibility that guys get rushed back not fully healed. Tyson may want to think about a short term retirement that lasts longer than a year.

Be nice if what unfortunate news, that WWE dump the stardust thing. Return Cody to Cody, give him a proper push. I personally liked the Dashing Cody Rhodes personna.

They missed out on some of my personal favourites... Cody Rhodes from the top of a Steel Cage (December 26, 2013 -- Not the one against The New Age Outlaws), Kurt Angle from the top of a Steel Cage (Raw 2001), Shawn Michaels cracking his ribs against the edge of the Announcers Table after missing Ric Flair (Wrestlemania 24), the one he produced during the famous Iron Man bout against Bret Hart (to gain one of the closest near-falls of the match), and the practically perfect one he hit on The Undertaker during their encounter at Wrestlemania 26.

Oh... And naturally every single Lionsault Jericho ever delivered. :D

Props to them for showcasing one of Bam Bam Bigelow's Moonsaults though. They always did look incredibly brutal.
