Battle of the Billionaires was decent enough from what I remember. Nothing especially great, but a fun Wrestlemania moment topped off with Austin stunners all around.
The best part obviously being the inclusion of Umaga.

Former WWE Superstar turned UFC fighter CM Punk recently revealed exactly when he hopes to make his Octagon debut.

While speaking with UFC.com, Punk mentioned that he still hopes to fight by December or January.

“I say this all the time: I’d love to fight tomorrow,” Punk told UFC.com. “But I want to be as prepared as I possibly can be and I will be. I’m still shooting for December. It might be January. I’m not sure, but I’ll be ready when I fight.”

Punk continued, “I don’t ask my coaches, ‘How did I do today? Am I ready?’ They say, ‘Come back at 7′ and I come back at 7. They tell me to mop, I mop. They tell me to sweep, I sweep. If they tell me to work the mitts or come in and work extra, I do it.”

Josh Modaberi of Cult of Whatever recently interviewed PJ Black (aka Justin Gabriel) about a number of topics. Below are some of the highlights.

On quitting WWE: “I see myself as more of an artist, I don’t really care about how much money I make, for me it’s more about the art of professional wrestling. There are a lot of guys that will just hang around because Vince will give everyone a shot and some guys will just hang around thinking that tomorrow will be their shot and then the next thing you know three years have gone by.

“One year went by and I realized it wasn’t going to happen and I couldn’t wait any longer and that is the reason I quit. There are guys there that will just hang around waiting for their shots, who knows if it’s going to happen, it’s all a timing thing.”

On the WWE Network: “That was another frustrating thing for me, we had a network, we have 24 hour programming and we could fit so many programs on there. We pitched a cruiserweight show, we pitched a hardcore show, we pitched all of these different shows which never came to fruition.”

On returning to WWE: “Quite possibly, in two or three years who knows, I don’t plan that far ahead. Vince actually called me and said he knew I wanted to do my own thing and have more wrestling time so he told me go away for two or three years and go do my thing and possibly comeback.

“Hunter on the other hand didn’t like the way I did it because I quit over the phone and told me he’s going to make me wait ages before I’m allowed to come back to WWE.”

Mick Foley has apparently changed his mind on Cesaro.

He recently wrote the following on his Facebook page:

''I CHANGED MY MIND

I used to think that Cesaro was a guy who would have made a great world-champion in a BYGONE era – a champion in the mold of a Lou Thesz, a Harley Race, a Jack Brisco, a Dory Funk Jr. But after seeing Cesaro in action these past few weeks, I've changed my mind, Cesaro would make a great world-champion in ANY era, including the PRESENT WWE era!

I'd love to see Cesaro – WWE added into the Kevin Owens John Cena – WWE Universe mix at some point – possibly at Summerslam.''

So, watching this segment of a Raw from July '98 and to set the story, Undertaker had dressed up as Kane and won a match the week before to become the #1 contender for title held by Stone Cold.

Alright, so Undertaker vs Vader to start the show. HBK is announcing with JR and King. Kane and Mankind come out to watch the match and after Taker hits the tombstone on Vader, which is incredible that Taker could actually do the move to a guy the size of Vader, and pins him, both Kane and Mankind jump into the ring.

Mankind's got a chair and he's about to swing away at Taker's head, Kane stops him, takes the chair, and clocks Vader with it. JR's selling it like, "Did Kane save his brother or did he want to do the deed himself?" After which HBK says, "Now I'm completely lost." HBK's commentary in about 3 minutes worth to start a Raw is so superior to anything Cole or JBL have said all year.

I think Raw should have guest announcers for a few months, kind of like the guest host thing they use to do years back. Maybe first week, have Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart on commentary the entire show with HBK making all these sexual innuendos and Bret Hart trying to call the match. I mean, they can drop the act for the more important matches that are meant to get guys over, but for all those other matches (Sheamus vs Orton anyone?) they can at least entertain us with witty banter.
