Hard to believe this happened to him twice, but anything is possible.

After he retires, he can get a bridge put in and get new teeth.. The two options he'll have if he gets implants is either they'll put two titanium pins into his jaw and attach two new teeth or they'll have to grind down the teeth next to his front teeth as an anchor point. I think the latter will be a stronger hold.

Don't try this at home kids.

First John Cena, and now Alex Shelley .

I hope face/head injuries following a knee attack aren't slowly becoming the new norm. :?

The mimicking of MMA knee strikes is why we're seeing more of it. It may become the new norm if it continues to get utilized. I guess the wrestlers causing injuries with this sort of move may need to removed it from their arsenal.

You can do a knee strike safely, it's just that the receivers aren't protecting themselves by trying to block the knee from hitting them because they're trying to sell the move. A knee strike doesn't have to directly hit a person in the head to cause damage, just the force of the knee driving a person's hand or forearm into the face or head is painful and damaging enough.

If only the wrestlers would protect themselves better and had announcers that could actually inform the viewer of what I just said, things would be alright, but accidents will still happen.

I know it can be done safely, I'm just saying those who can't do it safely shouldn't be doing the move. Same goes for guys who can't properly execute a powerbomb or a piledriver or a shooting star press - certain moves need to be executed correctly 99% of the time or you risk serious injury for yourself or the person you are working with. Ultimately, in the grand scheme, a successful match is one where both performers walk out mostly unscathed.

Charlotte was scheduled to win the Divas championship shortly after making her main roster debut – that is, until John Cena got involved.

According to an insider report from WrestleZone.com, the plan was for Charlotte to capture the Divas championship from Nikki Bella almost immediately upon getting called up. However, John Cena went to Vince McMahon and had Charlotte’s push squashed. He was acting on behalf of his girlfriend Nikki Bella, who is close to setting a record for the longest reigning Divas Champion in history.

Not only was Charlotte’s push scaled back from what it would have been, but Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch’s dominance over WWE’s other Divas was also toned down.

I looked in to this, thinking that Nikki would lose it at 294 days - one day short of AJ Lee's run. Unfortunately, Night of Champions is one week later than that, so it wouldn't be possible. Nikki needs to lose the title by September 13th or she'll equal Lee on the 14th, and surpass on the 15th.
