Apparently all WWE talent (including those who are still affiliated with the company through Legends deals or by other means), have recently been told not to have any contact with Hulk Hogan.

... :facepalm2:
Oh yes, it's true it's true!

Because WWE can dictate who you can and cannot talk to. I'm sure they can't fire anyone from their legends contract for communicating with Hogan, but they can do other things.

WWE’s former head of security Jimmy Noonan recently appeared on the Wrestling Mayhem podcast and said somebody needs to be fired after the recent slew of incidents with fans getting involved at live events.

Over the past several weeks, all 3 former members of The Shield have had brushes with rowdy fans getting out of line:

-Roman Reigns was hit in the head by Money In The Bank briefcase thrown by a fan at a live event.
-Dean Ambrose was nearly attacked by a fan who jumped the ringside barrier at the 8/5 Smackdown tapings before getting taken down by security.
-On the 9/7 edition of WWE RAW, a fan crashed the show and walked to the ring with WWE Champion Seth Rollins during his entrance.

Noonan, who worked for WWE from 1999 to 2007, says he’s actually offended by the way WWE has handled the situation, “It’s getting embarrassing. I’m getting offended by it.” Noonan said. “You don’t get caught three times in one month. If you do, you’re fucking up. Somebody is messing up. Not shitting on WWE security, but somebody is making a mistake.”

Despite the incidents, Noonan doesn’t think WWE will take action against their security team.

“I think somebody should be fired. I think if you’re security and you mess up, you should be fired. Will they? Probably not.”

He also said that there’s always a concern that someone who is armed with a knife or other weapon, or a legit fighter, would get in the ring and hurt one of the wrestlers. He said that the biggest fear was during the Austin era since it would do damage to his character if someone jumped in the ring and got the best of Austin.

Well, if Austin had gotten stabbed back then and came back, he would have been viewed as the 50 Cent of wrestling.

I can understand where this guy is coming from, but these events dont really give off the impression that anyone is seriously fucking up. A guy threw his briefcase into the ring, there's no way to prevent that. Security could have been right in front of the guy and he still could have chucked the case over security's head.

In the Dean incident the guy gets close, but then got clobbered by security. For Seth I think the fan just jumped the gate at an awkward spot where security was not placed directly and he managed to make it down the ramp. The thing is at any of these events people always outnumber security so you just have to assume that people will behave will keeping an eye open, but shit happens. Nobody should be fired for these incidents.

The issue is that fans becoming part of the show through these distractions are increasing and something has to be done to stop it. Back in the day if you fucked with a wrestler, who were borderline on a Roid Rage at every moment, was liable to chase you down and attempt to rip your head off. If the wrestlers weren't constrained by the modern legal system, they'd beat the living shit out of these dorks and this would not be a problem.

There's a time and a place where I don't have a problem with fans collectively throwing garbage into the ring to show their disdain for the booking or chanting for certain things, but fans hopping barricades and throwing stuff to injure people is self-aggrandizing. It has no place in wrestling.

In fact, here's my solution to stop this shit: Hire Kimbo Slice and the Shamrock Brothers to work as security at every live Raw and ppv and if one of them gets their hands on a fan who jumped the barricade, stop everything and have the camera focus on their "expert security enforcement" skills in action.

^I don't think there's an increase. I'd say it's the opposite, and fans crashing the show has decreased significantly. Crowds were rowdy during the Monday Night War era and fans got pummeled quite regularly.

We are in an era where news spreads fast and lesser stories can have larger spotlights and what use to be non-stories 15 years ago, now gets some attention.

And no, don't show these idiot fans on television. Don't give them that added attention.

In the age of social media and having recording devices in our pockets you cant have a security team composed of thugs who beat the shit out of some fan who jumps the gate. If that happens and its recorded it will go viral and could end up in a lawsuit, plus since they're still working on these concussion lawsuits they dont need any more. Look what happened with Hogan and the company cut ties with him completely. They are trying to maintain a positive image in the public eye.

Yes 3 happened in succession, but that doesnt mean its on an increase. I dont remember the last time one happened before these 3. I'm sure it was filmed and highlighted in some way, but then it faded away. They're always going to happen, there's no way to stop them entirely, but they need to be resolved in a professional manner.

Dave Meltzer is saying Sting was injured in his match against Rollins. So the moment where the ref and doctor come into the match might very well have been legit. I guess they slipped Sting a z-pak in order to finish the match.

I guess it's a good thing he wasn't supposed to win the title last night. That would have looked really bad.

Thought this was supposed to just be zooming in on HHH, but realized the message is meant to convey Punk's reaction instead.

I wish they didnt spell it as The Dudleyz or The Dudley Boyz. Finish it with an 'S' rather than a 'Z'. That's from an older era when it was cool, now its just silly.
