Well Punk's claim is what a lot of companies that advertise Komen do, as Tunit said they make money off of it. Companies advertise and raise awareness and sell shirts, but then they make a profit off of those shirts while donating a sum to charity/research.
I know WWE makes a good profit from dealing with Komen, but I'm still certain it's something they do to look good. A lot of sports leagues have partnered with medical awareness foundations and WWE, having the identity crises of a wrestling promotion that passes itself off as a sport, jumped in on the act. This is something that only current WWE could do because I could never see Attitude Era Degeneration X rocking pink glowsticks or Stone Cold slamming these down in October of 1998:

Thing is back then, nobody wanted to touch WWF and WWF protected kayfabe back then. Now WWE all but admits they're just "entertainment" and if we see Bray Wyatt beating down Roman Reigns one minute and the next he's standing next to him on stage during a get together to hear what the founder of Komen is saying, nobody cares because everybody on the roster now is not taken seriously because WWE doesn't take things seriously.

It's all part of the master plan to water down WWE and make it mainstream. Gone are the edgy days of drugged up wrestlers riding a thin line between a heart attack and attempted murder. Wrestlers use to get intoxicated before shows, but in WWE today they play Rock Band before shows.

So, coming full circle here, WWE cleans up its act, they water down their product, team up with cancer foundation Komen, make some coin off that, but big picture, it starts to legitimize WWE and wash away the popular image of what pro wrestling use to be. As time continues to move forward, they continue to be legitimized in the eyes of the media, the audience widens, and they make more money from that.

It's neither, just calling it as I see it.

Both the companies that sponsor Komen and Komen itself benefits from the relationship. And criticism should be levied on the amount donated by those companies that benefit the most from that branding. And any criticism for Komen should be directed at how donation dollars are spent and how much is spent to raise donation dollars. For a single dollar, how much of that goes to mammograms, research for the cure, breast cancer treatment, etc. And if 80% of that dollar goes to those things and the rest on overhead, then Komen is an excellent charitable organization but I doubt it's that high.

And if Punk wanted to make a bigger statement then he should have donated a hefty sum to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 91% of its expenses goes to research and awareness. And from the sites I've been to, that charity is A+, a 4 star, organization.

I think Punk's bitching to bitch because he's a little bitch.

But he's still the best pro wrestler of the past 10 years.

Punk does clearly have a chip on his shoulder. It shows in just about every video interview he does, he acts like the whole world's out to get him.

I can't really say much to that, the only interview I've seen him do was the podcast last year with Colt Cabana and in that I think he was mistreated by WWE. Why do I think that? Because WWE mistreats everybody not named John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, or Undertaker.

I think TGM nailed it. Punk isnt happy with WWE, so they and anyone associated with them are bad.

He has 2.4 million twitter followers but he acts like a jackass on there. Look at his most recent tweets and you'll notice the dude's obnoxious.

If he wants to go the Hogan route and act like his wrestling persona CM Punk in public for the rest of his life, by all means go for it but please don't ever take a meaningful stance on any important matter.

I'll say it. CM Punk is a twat.

We all know Punk hates his former employer and I'm sure we've all left companies on bad terms with a disdain for them and maybe even those with whoever they are close with.

I can't say that the companies that worked closely with former employers of mine I hated and tried to smear, but Punk gets upset by things more easily than most and he's still holding a grudge.

My advice is he needs to focus on bashing WWE and it's shitty fucking television shows and leave organizations that are helping organize the fight against breast cancer alone.

No, but James Storm is probably gonna block me after I said he should be working security at Big N' Rich concerts and not matches in NXT.

As noted last week, John Cena will be taking extended time off following the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on October 25th. Cena will be gone for approximately 6 weeks time and as of this writing, Cena is scheduled to be off television through December at the earliest.

It’s worth noting that Cena requested this time off several months ago and this is not related to an injury. The fact that Cena had been advertised for WWE live events in November up until recently was an error by WWE, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Of course, this puts the status of his United States Championship reign into question. We’ll find out in the coming weeks if Cena will drop the title before leaving and how WWE will explain his extended absence.

Kane will be replacing John Cena WWE’s upcoming live events and will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main events of those shows. As an added bonus for fans who were expecting to see John Cena, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will be going on the road with WWE as well.

Oh yes, it's true it's true!
