Just remembered that they're probably gonna induct Paul Bearer this year so maybe they'll push Heyman back to next year. I dunno if they'd induct 2 non-wrestlers in the same year

Also I hope that's a hint that Heyman's gonna be inducted in the Hall of Fame this year.

Ultimate Warrior
Jake Roberts
DDP
Paul Heyman
Lita

Book it
I'll bet $20 this will become the 2014 HoF class.
I have fought some guys that weren't actually there and I beat them so bad they disappeared.

Daniel Bryan may have suffered from a concussion during last nights Steel Cage match.

Source: http://www.sescoops.com/exclusive-daniel-bryan-suffered-concussion-raw/

If this is indeed true, then not only does it feel like the storyline with The Wyatt Family was dropped before it went anywhere (wasting Bryan's time), but now he has potentially gained an injury out of it.

It seems poor Bryan has really been given the short end of the stick as of late.

It'll be a good documentary but I think a lot of it will just cover the same ground The Rise & Fall of ECW already covered. I'm interested in it nonetheless because Heyman's the best
While true, Paul Heyman may have the most compelling story in wrestling to tell. His storuy has developed so many more layers than just the ECW guy now. From managing in WCW, to ECW, to announcing in WWE, to running Smackdown in the glory years, the true story of his relationships with the McMahons, OVW, One Night Stand and ECWWE, December 2 Dismember, flirting with the competition, to his return to the spotlight since the Pipe Bomb. In all honesty, Paul Heyman may be the most influential figure in wrestling in the modern era.

How did Heyman wind up in that list? I'm not saying he's undeserving, it just seems like something to save til later. He's still pretty active on the roster and one of the most hated people around. I say why get him cheers from a HoF when he should be booed and jeered. Bearer should be before Heyman.

I'll watch this but I'm worried about this documentary spending too much on Paul Heyman the character rather than devoting majority of the time to Paul Heyman the person. His childhood life is intriguing to know about with his mom being a Holocaust survivor and all.

I see what you're saying, but with the way the recent DVD biographies have gone I don't think that will be the case. The Punk, Foley, and HHH DVDs have all gone pretty in depth on the person and their history.

This is a pretty strange trend for WWE to start, especially since there are still a large quantity of people who need to be inducted into the HOF.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

''WWE is playing around with the idea of inducting a match into the 2014 class of the WWE Hall Of Fame in April.

According to a recent PWInsider.com report, the idea being pitched in WWE right now is for Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Paul Orndorff and Mr. T to be inducted, making it the first time in history that an actual match itself is inducted into WWE’s Hall Of Fame, as all four were involved in the main event of the first ever WrestleMania.

It’s possible that Jimmy Snuka and Bob Orton Jr. will also be inducted, as they were part of the WrestleMania I main event as well. If the idea comes to fruition, it would leave the door open for future matches to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame as well.

Mr. T has reportedly turned down offers from WWE in the past, but company officials are reportedly negotiating with him to make the aforementioned idea possible.

Obviously if this idea pans out, it would make Hogan, Piper, Orndorff, as well as Orton and Snuka if they are involved, two-time Hall Of Famers. The only two-time Hall Of Famer at the moment is Ric Flair, who was both inducted as an individual and as part of the Four Horsemen.''

I'm not entirely opposed against this idea, but I think for now WWE should concentrate on inducting influential and important people who left their mark on the industry. Once they have finished this process (At least to the point where the truly deserving members have lowered in numbers), then it could be interesting for them to start bringing specific accomplishments into the mix -- such as matches, segments, and altogether memorable moments.

Thoughts?

I don't really like the idea of inducting matches. It makes things convoluted and I feel like WWE would just induct every single WM main event except for XX. Rock vs Cena is not a hall-of-fame match.

While this is indeed true, it couldn't possibly be any worse than some of the celebrities they've inducted into the HOF. I'd personally take a match entering than someone like Drew Carey. But hopefully, for now at least, WWE will actually concentrate on more deserving people such as Randy Savage and Toots Mondt before ever following through with this idea.

Brodus Clay is like the Ryback of the lower card. Remember, he won his first 15 or so matches when he redebuted as the Funkasaurus, then he just disappeared. I'm tired of the mega pushes WWE gives these debuting guys only to drop them like a rock two months later.

So I finally got round to watching the ''CM Punk: Best in the World'' DVD, and must start off by saying how it's easily one of WWE's best Home Releases to date. Right up there with the likes of The Rise and Fall of ECW, Greatest Rivalries: Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart, and a number of individual superstar based sets. The documentary itself was my favourite aspect about the product and I'm willing to take it further by admitting how I probably enjoyed it almost as much as the long overdue Chris Jericho DVD from 2010. Perhaps even more. But to sum my review up briefly, I'll say CM Punk's set is definitely worth checking out. I'm almost ashamed that I have waited this long to watch it.

Rather surprisingly, WWE go above and beyond in the making of this set by actually acknowledging and obtaining footage from other wrestling companies. Other highlights of the documentary were the in-depth look at what being Straight Edge meant and required, CM Punk's frustrations with the company, and his on and off rise due to WWE's ignorance regarding talent. This set goes back not only through Punk's career -- but his early life, his troubled family relationships, and his early start where he created his own ring and wrestled with friends. Then his eventual fuse with Ring of Honor, OVW, ECW, and finally to the big leagues in WWE.

The first disk (of three) is the documentary about CM Punk. This includes quite a few extras that are well worth a watch, too. This in-depth look into Punk's life and career stems almost 2 hours in length, which did not factor into my enjoyment due to how riveting the journey was. It features sit down conversations with Punk, his friends, family, and other wrestling experts; interspersed with clips from Ring of Honour, matches and promos, and Punk backstage at various WWE events. I believe the only unedited clip during the entire 2 hours was Punk's now infamous promo on Raw in July 2011, but for good reason as it fit well with the subject matter which represented a specific juncture in Punk's career.

While I was familiar with Punk during the early 2000's, I didn't know a huge amount about him and only watched a couple of his matches around that time. It's surprising how interesting he is as a person, let alone as a talented athlete. WWE nailed some of the finer points about Punk's personality, helping me grasp the determination he possessed to be the best and in turn reach the top of the mountain within WWE. Punk is brutally honest about everything he talks about throughout the runtime, much as we expect from him. This includes his early family life and how he chose to live with his "adopted family" at a young age, since his relationship with his parents and brother were at breaking point. It's really rather touching and proves that blood doesn't necessarily mean everything.

We get to witness clips from his matches at other promotions and a few promos as well. It was interesting to see how he started off, where you begin to realize just how much of a talented individual he was, both in the ring and on the microphone. It still baffles me how long it took WWE to finally sit and take notice of this pro-wrestler. We then get a bit of information on how Punk first made it into WWE, which includes how he had been shipped into OVW, and the approval he earned from Paul Heyman. Then it went on to highlight the small flurries of success he gained in ECW, being the first superstar to come out victorious in back-to-back Money in the Back matches, and finally going on to win the World Heavyweight Championship. I loved the honesty Punk shared regarding those moments. He's sincere in saying he felt he didn't get the opportunities he deserved as champion (a storyline he pushed onto WWE which really goes to show how much the company underused him). There are a few other subjects thrown in there, such as his heel faction The Nexus. Which was surprisingly brushed over, but understandably so. Though, I hope they touch more upon this if WWE ever release another DVD regarding Punk's career.

There was a lot of other information thrown in here, such as the tattoos he has and what they symbolize, his diet, and love of health and fitness. The extras thrown on here were also very interesting, ranging from bits about Punk's high school sports, to his skull fracture, and even the title in the fridge moment (every WWE fan should know about this infamous picture). However, the reason why this documentary was able to draw me in to such a degree, likely boils down to how earnest it all felt. Punk isn't afraid to talk about the WWE from his point of view, whether those views land him into trouble or not. The way friends and family talk about him (Colt Cabana, Paul Heyman, Lita, The Miz, Chris Hero, ect) really compliments him as a human being.

The other two disks are jam packed with meaningful/personal favourite matches Punk has had, as well as important and significant encounters that helped push him to the top. As you'd expect, altogether it delivers around 7-8 hours of pure entertainment (Which is about standard for something of this calibre), and like I've stated earlier, it's definitely one of the best WWE Home Releases out there. It's captivating from start to finish, informative, and showcases some of Punk's best ever moments throughout his entire career. If you're a wrestling fan, then this is a must own.

AJ Lee is now officially the longest Divas Champion in history. Not that this means much, but if anyone deserves such an accolade, it's her.

Well, my Zack Ryder headband resurfaced. That's probably about $12 I feel silly about now.

(Yes, I am wearing it)

And yet, my Bret Hart sunglasses are lost to the sands of time.
