With how badly WWE wants to break the WM3 attendance record and how apathetic the viewers are in the product, they're pulling out all the stops to garner interest in the product. I don't think Shane coming back was in the works 4-6 months ago, but with all the injuries to key stars, they had to do something. I don't expect them to continue this past Mania, it's a temporary stimulus injection. And since I brought it up, I think even if Mania doesn't get sold out, WWE will still say that they broke the 93,000 attendance record. Wouldn't be the first time they lied about attendance numbers before, won't be the last. |
