Batista's return made last Monday the most-watched RAW since March 4, 2013.

This doesn't help my anticipation for the Royal Rumble match. :(
We did have one active chat on Monday so... I guess Batista still has a some sort of appeal. :( :headwall:

Yeah, I was one of those people to shit on his return and honestly had forgotten about him returning this Monday. Regardless of how much I disdain the guy, I'm sure the ratings bump can be attributed to a multitude of things but his return definitely was factor in the bump. His return and being the last Raw before a ppv impacted the ratings the most.

I was intrigued by his return right up until the moment it happened. Then it became bland and boring.

I don't dislike the guy, but I just feel extremely indifferent to him. In some ways, my indifference might be worse than disdain, when you think about it.

Sounds like WWE is getting closer to signing Sting. Just in case you had any shred of optimism left regarding WM

I'm not usually one who likes posting rumours and tweets from wrestlers, but it's literally the only thing right now I can think of which will help stir activity in the forum.

Tweet from Batista:

''Just wanted to thank everyone who supported my return. I missed you guys!! All you other negative Smarks can suck my balls! Haha!!! #onelife''

*sigh*

5 years ago this would have been pretty exciting news...

Maybe WWE actually have something for him to work with, potentially throwing him in a feud with The Undertaker. It's a match that ''could'' work even today, but at the same time it's also possible it may become a dud.

Sting is actually one of the people who has said that he wants to work with Taker about three years ago. If he truly actually gives a shit and doesn't go through the motions like he has been for a while, there is a chance that WWE won't screw it up. It might be a fat, small, borderline miracle of a chance like everything else WWE does, but it is a chance.

Rather see Booker T come out of retirement than see anymore Sting.

Jesus...

''Former NWA North American Champion Mike DiBiase, son of the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, was arrested early Thursday morning after an hours long standoff with Amarillo Police Department, SWAT and APD negotiators. ConnectAmarillo.com reports:

“According to APD, the incident began at 11:12 Wednesday night after officers received information that a man wanted for a parole violation was in the 3900 block of northwest 12th. APD said the suspect was reportedly inside the building where several business are located and was seen by an employee attempting to break through a wall between businesses.”

“APD attempted to make contact with the suspect however attempts were unsuccessful as officers learned the suspect may have access to weapons inside the building. Knowing the escalated danger of the situation, SWAT and APD negotiators were brought in to assist with the situation. APD also mobilized a remote control robot to make its way through the building in an attempt to locate the subject.”

He was eventually arrested after a SWAT team entered the building around 5:10 AM this morning and used chemical agents in an attempt to force him out of the building.

“The suspect was found hiding under a pile of cardboard boxes and was taken into custody by APD.”

I know Sting vs Undertaker wouldnt be a classic 5 star match, but I still think it would be pretty damn cool to see them face to face in the same ring.

Apparently, these 5 matches are planned for this years Wrestlemania.

Randy Orton vs. Batista
The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
CM Punk vs. Triple H
Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus

Of course, it's likely most of these will change during the build-up to the event. Nonetheless, what are your thoughts?

Honestly, if some of these do get placed on the card, then it's unlikely I'll pay for Wrestlemania this year. It sounds like Bryan-Sheamus might finally be given a decent time slot for the show, but I'm not sure I'd be interested in seeing them have a rematch. I was very much satisfied by their ''2 out of 3 falls'' match at Extreme Rules, so I'm not sure if a potential feud warrants yet another showdown on the grandest stage of them all. Then again, it's pretty much the only encounter I wouldn't be entirely offended by (Current talent being given the spotlight).

Lesnar vs Taker just doesn't sound very appealing to me. I've seen these two have many battles in the past and doubt they could live up to their classic HIAC bout at No Mercy 2002. It makes more sense to have somebody like Bray Wyatt go up against the Deadman, only because their personality's could produce great chemistry. I'm sure Undertaker could also bring the best out of Bray in terms of in-ring performance, too. Even if Bray Wyatt were to lose, he would still gain a rise in status from an encounter with The Undertaker, which would only benefit his early career.

With that said, John Cena vs Undertaker seems to be on popular demand these days, so I guess that could also work out really well. Whatever the case, I think Brock Lesnar should be used for the benefit of getting current talent over, but that's only my opinion on the subject.

The notion of CM Punk taking on Triple H instantly makes me want to fall asleep. Not that they would have a bad match or anything, but we've already recently seen them duke it out during the Night of Champions 2011 PPV. That was more than sufficient to help legitimize Punk's status (Despite losing) and it comes across as another excuse for HHH to take the spotlight.

I'm not completely against the idea of a possible Batista vs Orton showdown at Wrestlemania, but I'm not exactly excited by this premise neither. I feel like they could create a decent storyline going into this bout (In regards to their Evolution upbringing with HHH even being thrown into the mix), but I doubt the actual match will become anything noteworthy. So I'm kinda mixed on the whole subject.

Anyway, what are your thoughts regarding this subject?

The only reason Daniel Bryan Vs. Shaemus doesn't completely offend me is because their chemistry is fucking amazing.
