So there is a list of possible upcoming DVD set ideas that WWE will put out. Some of those include:

Spoiler: click to toggle

I should mention a new set was announced and it is called 'It's not that small: The Seth Rollins Story'

I've never been into the WWE DVDs, or DVDs in general for that matter, but the one that they made that did interest me was the Stone Cold one they did a few years ago.

I'm just that big an Austin fan I'd buy it. In fact, I'm that big an Austin fan, his departure was one of the reasons I stopped watching WWE in late '05 thru to 2006. Since Austin's been gone so long, I found other people to garner interest in, but they've either left, retired, been fired, or have been jobbed into a joke that I don't care.

When I can find them for cheap I'll buy them. The issue is that sometimes the same match will appear on multiple sets, but lately they've been doing more documentaries and avoiding double dipping unless a certain match was crucial to so-and-so's career. I mainly enjoy them because it's nice to go back and relive certain things that have gotten lost in time.

There are 2 Austin sets. One is a collection of matches and sometimes Steve will talk before the match about his thoughts on it or what was happening at that time. Then they other has the documentary and then matches. I've mentioned it before but I think Edge's first one and Eddie's are some of the best pure match collections because all the matches on them are fantastic.

Honestly, the Network existing has pretty much destroyed the DVD market for WWE. Why spend $5-10 on a DVD when they can just add it to the network for which I already pay $9.99 for NXT, monthly ppv's, E&C show, the tape library, and other stuff?

A month of the Network is a WAY better deal than a DVD with matches I've pretty much seen already. About the one thing the DVD's would be great for is if they compiled some of the best Indie matches for guys across multiple promotions.

Take Asuka for instance: her best matches were all in Japan with different promotions. I've seen some of her big matches for women's title, but not all and I wonder which great matches I've missed out on. For other people, they probably haven't seen much of Asuka matches in Japan, so putting together an Asuka DVD would sell to me and regular joes and it would garner potential interest in other Japanese women wrestlers people might want to see, some of whom are younger than Asuka and are retired that might make a comeback with WWE and the easier wrestling style that WWE does. Ayumi Kurihara is a name I think that would be great in NXT, Tomoka Nakagawa, while short, can be a great heel.

I enjoy having physical copies of things because I can display them and if I get tired of them I can sell them, then I at least get something back for it which I can't do when it comes to owning digital stuff.

I understand the physical vs digital when it comes to reselling, but how much are you really gonna get reselling WWE DVD's? Seems like more of a hassle when, again, you've already got the Network which you pay money for.

I don't expect to get much for them, after all I usually don't pay much for them when I buy them new. It's no hassle at all for me. I either sell them online for 5 bucks or take them down to the pawn shop for the same price. I don't sell them often because the ones I have are ones I intend to keep. But I'm happy with the $5 I get when I do sell them. And I don't have the WWE Network.

If Cena is Superman, does that make Reigns Neo? He is the one after all? One versus all? I don't know, very random thought there...

So, I gave Vince a chance last night to do the right thing with Reigns and as usual, Vince stayed true to his heel nature and told me and a lot of others to fuck off with this heel Reigns bullshit. Well... that's just not sitting right with me and it's obvious he's going full steam ahead for a few months with a face Roman Reigns so I'm going back to my original reaction when Roman shows up on Raw and ppv's and that's just turning him off.

I did it with one of the Triple H beatdowns last month, but I wanted to see if the crowd reactions to Reigns were going to be negative up to Mania and sure enough, they were. Now that I know Reigns is just completely rejected by the viewing audience, I don't see any reason to keep watching him until he turns. I already have a low interest in Reigns because he's pretty much shit on the mic and in the ring he has a moveset as short as Khali's. Add to it now we get stuck with the McMahon family drama for the foreseeable future, which is going to involve itself with Reigns, it just makes me :ugh:

With Reigns right now, I... this:

Mid card looks good. Miz, Cesaro, Zayn, and Owens are all beefing and the IC title is somewhere in the middle of it or will be soon. Kalisto is getting the Rey Mysterio treatment, which I only like because he's not being saddled with the 50/50 booking. I mean, Kalisto can be good at times, but he can also suck with his execution of moves in the ring and I haven't heard him much on the mic, so there's some promise to him in the future. Then, we've got good tag teams now and a real women's division.

All in all, anything that's not Roman Reigns, McMahon, or has already been jobbed into Joker territory is pretty good in WWE. Let's just hope Vince and Creative doesn't freak out and lose their shit if the ratings go down a bit this Summer when people are generally tuning out of WWE and when MNF returns in the Fall when WWE has actual competition.

Oh, and let's hope there's no more injuries.

You bring up a valid point. If ppl really want to send a point, just ignoring Reigns is the best method. I feel no reaction sends a much larger message to WWE than booing ever would. Too little too late for that though

I don't think so. Last year there was a period where Reigns was over with a certain part of the audience, but once he disappeared at the Rumble only to come back after 20 mins, the whole audience turned against him. So with Reigns there is a track record of swaying the fans to change the way they react to him.

I think it would be better than throwing stuff into the ring and people might be more likely to give him dead heat because he's normally featured in the end of the 3rd hour for Raw where everybody is tired and wants to go home.
