Bret Hart typically doesn’t have many nice things to say about Triple H, but the WWE Hall of Famer says The Game was “very cordial” to him backstage at Payback. Hart was at Payback to accompany Natalya to her match against Charlotte with Ric Flair, and The Hitman says Triple H treated him “like a million bucks” backstage. Hart talked about meeting with Triple H and the McMahons on his podcast The Sharpshooter Show. “I sensed a lot of sincerity there on everyone’s part,” said the 14-time World Champion about his experience at Payback. “From Vince down to Triple H to Shane. Shane was very gracious and had some really nice things to say about me that I had forgot about. I was a very protective guy of Shane years ago when he was just a young guy in the business. I looked out for him a lot and I think it was nice for him to tell me that. That he never forgot how much I looked out for him and protected him from a lot of the vices and evils that were lurking about in pro wrestling.” Hart, whose career was cut short by a concussion, also used his podcast to talk about Enzo Amore getting injured at the pay-per-view. Hart shared his memory of talking with Ric Flair after the spot occured, and Flair looking “horrified.” “He said to me, ‘He broke his neck,’” Hart said of his interaction with The Nature Boy. “They took [Amore] to the hospital. He seemed very upset and a lot of the other wrestlers were upset. Luckily within a few minutes everyone was like, “Nah, it’s ok. He’s hurt. In addition to Hornswoggle, WWE announced on Friday that Alex Riley has been released from the company. Riley signed with WWE developmental back in 2007 and is a former FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion. He was part of the second NXT season and was mentored by The Miz. He’d later go on to be Miz’s “apprentice” during Miz’s WWE Championship reign and subsequent feud with John Cena. Following the launch of the WWE Network, Riley did some work as an analyst on WWE kickoff show panels. He did some color commentary work in NXT before returning to the ring in NXT last year. Santino was still with WWE? Jeez, that's new to me. Feel bad for Riley as he was actually putting something decent together in NXT, but I guess WWE felt he'd been around long enough and sent him away. I liked his run with Miz as they just worked so well together. While the title match at WM27 was really bad, that was the Miz and Cena's fault. We knew Barrett was on his way out, so nbd there. Still, you talk about a guy who had the talent to go somewhere beyond Midcard 4 Life, Barrett was it. Such a great debut winning NXT and debuting as the Nexus leader, then WWE just left him on the side of the road because they just wanted to push their already established guys. Sandow has been a total waste in WWE going back to the MitB cash on against Cena. That was totally the fault of Creative and Vince because they have him win the case in July, but by the end of the year they decide to have a title unification match with Cena and Orton. Can't have fucking Sandow beat Cena, so just have Cenawinslol for the 1000th time. Completely fucked up Sandow for good, just like Ryback was fucked getting put in the HiaC match with Punk in 2012. They had a second chance with Sandow and the Damian Mizdow gimmick, but that was getting too over and had to be broken up. Sandow's lack of being used in WWE is entirely on the shoulders of Vince McMahon because the buck stops with him. Zeb Coulter will be back when WWE needs a manager for a guy who can't talk and has a dumb gimmick. The rest of the crew released was nothing really. I mean, Hornswoggle hasn't been relevant since he was a Leprechaun and Cameron was always a ditzy bitch who thought some Divas match with Melina was the greatest match of all time. Well girl, bye. Then on top of all these releases, it looks like Ryback and Adam Rose are going to be leaving too. Then there's Mark Henry's retirement coming, Danial Bryan's which has already happened, and Sting retired too. Just a bunch of people no longer actively wrestling with WWE or with WWE anymore. Makes me wonder if WWE is forecasting financial issues. |

Khali has been gone for years now. I disagree with Alicia Fox. People may think she's untalented, but I disagree. She's really athletic and she's worth keeping because even the women's division needs jobbers. Alicia is that person, they can turn her like Big Show to fit the company's needs at the time and she can put on decent matches that last 3-5 mins. Personally, I think she's under appreciated. I'll agree with everybody else except Mojo. Him and Ryder are worth keeping around in NXT. I especially agree with you on Tamina, she is just horrible and has been horrible since day one when she debuted with the Uso's. The suck factor must have rubbed off on her from those two. |
