Oh I dont know about that. There was a promo when Roman told the fans to shut their mouths, and you dont see the babyfaces doing that so I thought the whole 3 way Ex-Shield stuff was meant as a way to slowly turn Roman. Also, since Rollins keeps trash talking Roman and the fans cheer it they can use that as Roman's incentive to say the fans turned their back on him..even though they turned on him a long time ago.

Plus Rollins is still not fully heel. He still gets the cheers when he comes out. So I'm hoping that they can see there is money and worth in a face Rollins against a heel Roman.

I'm fine with Orton vs Lesnar. Sure, it would have been nicer if it had happened 1-2 years ago, rather than Lesnar facing the same few guys over and over, but as with most things WWE better late than never. I know the match itself isn't as appealing as a Lesnar vs Styles, Lesnar vs Owens, or Lesnar vs Cesaro, but I think Orton and Lesnar can have a decent match.

It's two big names to face each other at SummerSlam, the #2 show of the year for WWE. It's a match that should have happened already, but at least it's finally happening. Once it is done, I do not need to see a rematch as Lesnar only has a certain number of years left before he begins to have physical issues.

Heck, for all we know, Lesnar's UFC fight could lead to such a bad injury he might not be able to work the match at SS and might never be able to wrestle again.

I firmly believe WWE will never make Roman out to be a bad guy. They will not send him out there to cut a heel promo. I think what you are mentioning was Roman acting out his frustrations relating to his crowd reactions.

Lesnar v RKO will draw the casual fans in more than Ambrose v Lesnar would have for Mania. RKO is more of a household name because of his tenure in the company. I predict Lesnar will lose

Is Randy Orton really a household name, though? Wrestling fans know him, and sure, some people beyond the fanbase might be familiar if solely due to the "RKO outta nowhere" meme. But I hardly feel like he's ever been one to really reach "household name" status by any real stretch of the imagination.

Orton vs. Lesnar will draw interest from wrestling fans who had wanted that matchup to happen years ago, but I can't see it reaching much further than that. It's nowhere near the levels of an Undertaker/Lesnar rematch that got even non-fans talking about it a year ago, though.

I think the result is Orton is the best of the bunch in terms of a household name without having a repeat matchup. If we're looking at 'name' guys you got Cena, HHH, Rock, Taker and Batista who would be the most likely to face him. Sure there are the whole Goldberg rumors, but that seems like something they'd save for Mania. While Orton hasn't really done much of late, even before his injury, I think he's still a well known guy.

He is a household name by WWE terms. As far as recognizable faces, he is one of the most recognizable they have currently. Sadly, it is largely because of the "Outta Nowhere" craze that came around last year

I just realized that since Reigns is suspended and probably going to the dog house for a little while, he's not going to be booked to ever go over Lesnar clean.

I was convinced that the reason Lesnar has been pushed so hard for the last 2+ years was to set him up to put over a new guy and that new guy was going to be Roman, but now I'm having trouble seeing that. I don't think Styles is worth it because he's fucking great, but he's old. Owens isn't ever going to be a top 5 name in WWE because he doesn't have the look, Zayn beating Lesnar is just not believable, Rollins has already been established as not being able to beat Lesnar, Dean the same.

So who does that leave? IMO it leaves Big Cass. If Colin Cassidy can go into a hyperbolic time chamber and train with Steve Austin on promos, The Rock on charisma, HHH on backstage politicking, AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan on wrestling, and come out next week, he'd be a legit threat to Lesnar.

Problem is Big Cass is too new and needs years to get better. I can see the build to the Cass-Lesnar match perfectly tho: Lesnar and Heyman are pitching a fit about a match at the last ppv where Lesnar got screwed by a count out or some shit and say they'll protest via sit in and Heyman's saying, "There's no one in this building who has the guts or the glory to remove BRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK LESSSSSSSNAR from a sit in!" then out comes Cass and Enzo to start a tag team match with whoever and Enzo's doing his schtick and says to Heyman and Lesnar, "and that right there is Brock Lesnar and he's a jacked up former UFC Champion and a whiny little bitch and you can't teach that!"

Lesnar then attacks Enzo with the F5 and the brawl between him and Cass goes all over the fucking building kind of like that brawl between Taker and Lesnar last year.

Jericho says his current heel role was always part of the plan for his current run in WWE. In an interview with IBTimes to promote the new Jericho Network on PodcastOne, Jericho says he knew he was getting stale as a babyface when he lead the crowd in a “rooty-tooty-booty” chant.

“It’s definitely my best year since 2008, 2009, no doubt about that,” Jericho said of his current heel run. “And you never know what’s gonna stick. If I was a band to have two late career top-10 hits, so to speak, with “stupid idiot” and “drink it in, man,” who would have ever expected that? Who would ever expect that I would make “stupid idiot” a catchphrase?”

Jericho said that even he didn’t expect to have such a good heel run, and he still has a desire to put on good matches. Jericho says he doesn’t really have any more goals in WWE except to compete at a high level with new talent.

“Winning and losing–that’s not putting somebody over. Having great matches and working together and exchanging ideas, and exchanging experiences, concepts and thoughts, that’s putting somebody over,” Jericho explained. “That’s what working together is all about. Give me a chance to work with these guys who are like 10 years younger than me. From Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to Rollins and Ambrose, Reigns and those type of guys. And a guy like AJ Styles, even though he’s almost my age, to help him learn what the WWE is all about, to me is the fun part, and that’s why I’m really enjoying this run.”

Jericho also revealed that his band Fozzy is working on a new record to be released in early 2017 and will go on tour with the band which will take him off WWE TV.

Completely agree that this is the best run I've seen from Jericho since the late 00's. His heel run in 2012 is nothing compared to this latest one and it couldn't have come at a better time because WWE is desperate for heels right now.

That's what I've liked best about what Jericho's been doing because you can tell he's having fun and enjoying himself, and so are the guys he's working with. The MITB ladder match segments were fun because everybody was playing off one another and it worked. The segments and the match itself gave everyone a chance to shine.

Triple H recently spoke at-length about NXT in an interview published by ESPN. Triple H oversees the NXT brand, and says it’s hard to imagine that just a few years ago NXT was just a concept, and now it’s something “so much more” than that. The Game talked about the importance of NXT not just being a recreation of RAW or SmackDown.

“To me, our industry is kind of like music. There are all different kinds of genres in music and with Raw and SmackDown you are trying to hit the most mainstream level of enjoyment of the product that you can, sort of like in pop music,” Triple H said. “NXT is a bit more of a style of music. It’s a bit more intimate, it’s a bit more designed to hit our hardest core fans and give them something that they will enjoy. To me, at the end of the day, that’s the core of what we do.”

“But it’s still understanding that Raw and SmackDown are completely different where you are trying to hit the biggest audience possible,”
he continued. “I’m excited that people like NXT so much, obviously, but I’m excited that we have that variety. If it was all the same, I don’t know that the interest level would be the same and that’s part of the magic of what [NXT] is. It’s different. One is not better, they are just different.”

The former multi-time World Heavyweight Champion also talked about how the upcoming brand split and draft on the 19th will change NXT. Triple H says NXT isn’t doomed when talent leaves for the RAW or SmackDown rosters, because they make new characters.

“It’s always fresh, it’s always different, it always feels like there is something new going on to me,” HHH said of NXT. “With NXT being different, it complements Raw and SmackDown. You have the opportunity to see these guys come in and make a name for themselves on a bigger platform. They can grow themselves while helping to create NXT’s brand. Then, if you’re following NXT, you’re ahead of the curve when they come to Raw and SmackDown. You know everything about them and their back stories. It’s like being a fan of the band before they hit it big. You have that claim to fame. And to our most passionate fan base that’s an exciting vibe that we have.”

HHH also theorized that the reason why WWE’s social media numbers are strong is because their fans like to be head of the curve and be the first to know new things about their programming.
