Well it would be the way to split them up without having any betrayal/heel turn, but no way should Cass be on his own yet.

UFC is saying Lesnar tested positive for a banned substance. If the second test comes back the same, WWE will probably suspend him.

Chris Jericho recently said not to expect WWE to release any merchandise featuring his latest phrase ''stupid idiot.''

''I have a real rule that when I'm heel I don't want the WWE selling my merchandise,'' the WWE Superstar stated during an interview with Fansided.com.

''I don't want someone in the crowd wearing a shirt with that phrase and thinking it's funny when it's supposed to be an insult. I still have enough old school in me that I don't want people wearing my slogans or phrases when they are supposed to be booing me. Does it really matter? Probably not. But it's one of those things to me that it does matter. Maybe it will piss you off that there are no shirts out there so it will make you boo or hate me more.''

Jericho, who has had an online presence since his time in WCW in the late 1990s, was asked if social media has helped the progression of professional wrestling:

''To me it doesn't really matter. It's the way of the world now and you have to adapt. I don't think the world is better. Growing up in my era things were magical as you didn't know wrestling wasn't fully legit. You were watching stories unfold as they were meant to do. Same thing going to a movie. I don't want to read the plot line before I go or come up with something I think is better because I want to see it unfold the way the director intended it to. One of my favorite things to do but also least favorite things to do is look up a band's set list while they are on tour. But it was sure a lot more fun when you didn't know if your favorite song was going to play.''

''I don't know if social media has hurt wrestling. But I think it has created a certain sense of entitlement to a certain part of the fan base. They think they should know everything and it eliminates that magical sense. Like when I return and nobody knows about it, I like that. I pulled the wool over everyone's eyes and it's getting harder and harder to do these days.''
Oh yes, it's true it's true!

They'd almost have to. He may not have technically failed a WWE test recently, but to fail a UFC test then go back and have no issues under WWE would look bad. Then again it remains to be seen what was flagged in his sample.

I'm waiting for Lesnar to respond with:

"What the fuck did you think Steroids were made from?"

Billy Gunn was fired for failing a test for a bodybuilding/weightlifting association that was a year old, so Lesnar failing a test not two weeks before his fight with Mark Hunt would look so bad for WWE, especially after Reigns has already been suspended. Not that a suspension means shit to Brock, he's just taken home 2 million bucks for the UFC fight and him taking a 30 day vacation in the middle of his typical hiatus doesn't hurt him in the least.

If I'm WWE, I would make an annoucement that pending further investigation, Brock is indefinitely suspended. This way if Brock's second/backup test also comes back positive for substances, WWE can retroactively enforce the 30 day rule and have Heyman do the promos with Orton.

Lesnar's never struck me as a drug user, but I wouldn't doubt it if this test does come back positive for steroids. He was gone for so long in UFC that for him to come back and be that good against Mark Hunt, at 39 years old no less, Brock was either cheating in some way or he is legitimately the greatest prize fighter in the world.

Lesnar has commented to the AP saying, "We will get to the bottom of this." Lesnar also gave them copies of 3 letters from the USADA saying he passed 3 other tests before this one.

After UFC issued a statement Friday saying Brock Lesnar was notified by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collected on June 28, his status with WWE immediately came in to question. As such, the organization issued the following brief statement on the company website and to various members of the media.

Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, Aug. 21.

While it remains unclear whether WWE will discipline Lesnar, their statement indicates that he is still scheduled to face Randy Orton at SummerSlam on August 21 in Brooklyn, New York.

Lesnar made a successful return to MMA on July 9 at UFC 200, defeating Mark Hunt by unanimous decision. The results of the sampling were received by the USADA on Thursday.

I'm sure that watching an almost 71 year old man work out would be a ghastly sight.

Also, I'd be willing to bet that there's a Snorlax in Big Show's home gym.

I wonder if they're going to punish Lesnar by booking him to lose to Orton.

There are some who are saying that Lesnar was flagged because of what's in his asthma inhaler.

Spoiler: click to toggle

Just did a WWE survey. Asking about what I would want in a potential $12.99 VIP WWE Network subscription.
I think I remember doing a survey about what I would want in return for a subscription that was more than 9.99 and I want Raw and Smackdown live simulcast. For me that means I wouldn't need to pay $5 to upgrade to the higher package for Sling TV to get USA, which doesn't have a DVR or replay option for the USA channel. The other thing is it would allow me to watch Raw/SD live or on demand anywhere I have an internet connection. It also means I could possibly drop my entire Sling TV subscription and save $20 a month.

There's nothing else WWE can possibly give me with a $13 premium subscription besides amateur video of the women having sex. I don't even have enough time as it is to keep up with Raw or SD or NXT, let alone watch all this other content they want to inundate the Network with.

Actually, there might be one thing WWE could do that would interest me: drama shows with the wrestlers acting in shows. I'm tired of the reality shows, prank shows, and animated shows... give me a cop drama starring Big Show as veteran tough guy cop and his rookie female partner played by Alicia Fox. Give me a mini series about a high school civics teacher (played by Kane) who is teaching in black inner city schools.

I'd be interested to see how the wrestlers do in acting roles and this would be good for them because they could be good shows and if they're able to do a decent performance other studios will take notice and give them a call.

Here’s the latest on Brock Lesnar being flagged for a potential USADA violation stemming from his fight at UFC 200 back on July 9th. The news comes courtesy of Wrestling Observer Radio – visit f4wonline.com for subscription information.

–Whether or not Brock Lesnar wrestles Randy Orton at SummerSlam as scheduled will be almost entirely up to WWE. Depending on what substance Lesnar tested positive for, he could be facing up to a 2 year suspension from MMA in Nevada. This is unlikely to affect him appearing at SummerSlam because New York State does not license pro wrestlers individually, they license wrestling promoters. Since he’s not licensed as a pro wrestler, in theory he could still perform.

–The drug Lesnar was flagged for will be made public during his hearings in Nevada. There is a rumor going around that he got in trouble for using an inhaler, but that’s nothing more than speculation at this point.

–Lesnar passed the first 5 USADA tests and failed the sixth. Since that 6th test that turned up hot, he was tested two additional times and those results are still pending.

–Lesnar had been advertised for Tuesday’s WWE Draft edition of SmackDown, but has been pulled from that show. Dave Meltzer noted that him being pulled from the show is not related to the USADA news and is probably because WWE didn’t want to burn one of his dates by having him just stand on the stage as part of the Draft.
