I know this may sound strange to some, but Shaq vs Show is not that bad an idea. Remember, Show had that Mania match with Floyd Mayweather which ended up being decent as the build to it was excellent. Shaq has MMA training, so he knows how to do contact sports without hurting himself, now if he applies himself, he can learn how to not hurt both himself and the guy he works a match with. It sounds crazy, but I see Shaq as a guy who could become a celebrity turned wrestler because he has the size, the charisma, acting ability, etc. He could be a YUUUGE draw for WWE and what WWE needs is people to draw big numbers. Of course, Shaq doesn't come cheap, just like Lesnar, Rock, Undertaker, HHH, Cena, Punk, and other big names don't either. |

I still got to go with a facepalm for the Shaq vs Big Slow match. I know the whole Mayweather/Big Show stuff was pretty decent, but I think that's the exception to the rule. At that time Mayweather was a active athlete in the prime of his career. He was a well known undefeated boxer so he immediately brought credibility with him. WWE of course promoted it as the 'David vs Goliath' match as they usually do with smaller people, but Mayweather had also inadvertently broken Big Show's nose during the build-up so they had that going for them as well. Let's not forget Show also faced Akebono in a sumo match that was awful. I think Big Show and Shaq have had stare-downs in the past, but that doesn't make me desire to see any sort of blow off to that. Mania is still a ways away so yeah Shaq would have all kinds of time to train and learn some shit, but it's still Shaq. I'd see this as nothing more than punches, clotheslines and bodyslams. I'm bored already. When Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman were in WCW that didn't exactly light the world on fire. Sure, it got them attention, but that was also because Jay Leno was involved too. At the end of the day this is Wrestlemania which has proven to be a success no matter what the card looks like. I don't think in 2017 Shaquille O'Neal would bring a huge boost in ratings. At most let them have some sort of fuckery in the Royal Rumble then let's move on. |

Joey Styles is no longer a WWE employee, according to a report at Pro Wrestling Sheet. The former “Voice of ECW” had been working for WWE’s digital media department since 2008, working on WWE.com, the WWE mobile app and managing the company’s social media accounts as the Vice President of Digital Media Content. Styles last tweeted on July 29th and participated in a Facebook Q&A session around that time. During the Q&A, Styles was asked why Vince McMahon pushes Roman Reigns and replied: “Moms are the ones who bring kids to shows. Kids like Roman Reigns. Moms like Roman Reigns. That’s the reason. Just because some people boo him doesn’t mean everyone doesn’t like him.” He was also critical of WWE’s 3-man commentary teams and the “WWE Universal Championship” name.
