That would actually be pretty funny if you went on a losing streak and then Vince calls you into his office to say 'sorry, creative has nothing for you' and then fires you.

Former WWE and TNA Champion Kurt Angle was a guest on ESPN’s Dan Le Batard Show where he opened up about his well-documented substance abuse issues. Angle revealed that at one point he was taking 65 extra-strength Vicodins daily, due to issues stemming from his broken neck from the 1996 Olympic games.

“I was on a lot. There was no way I couldn’t get out of it,” Angle recalled. “The only thing I could do was eventually go to rehab and try to fix my life again but I actually beat it on my own. I stayed in my house for about 10 days and didn’t leave, and I was able to get through the withdrawal effects and then I was put on another medication after that — a lower dose and then because I broke my neck multiple times, I went on Xanax too because I was always getting nervous. I was really having a lot of stress.”

Despite his success as a six-time world champion in WWE, the schedule and injuries took a toll on Angle. When he left WWE and joined TNA in 2006, that’s when Angle says alcohol issues came into the picture for him. Angle was charged with several DUIs during his first years in TNA.

“I started drinking with my meds. Then I started manipulating my meds,” he said. “I would save all of them for the evening and drink it with alcohol and it got me in a lot of trouble.” Angle was slapped with 4 DUI’s in 5 years during his time in TNA.

Angle says he tried tackling the substance issue on his own, but it wasn’t until he went to a rehab facility that he got things under control.

“I tried to do it myself, but when you’re that deep into that stuff, you can’t do it on your own,” Angle said. “You need somebody else’s help, and I finally reached out and I did what I had to do to get it done.”

“It was the worst seven days of my life as well. I went through detox again. That time it stuck. You can’t do anything; you can’t think; you’re in constant pain; your body’s shaking. You don’t wanna eat; you don’t wanna do anything; you feel like you’re gonna die. It’s the worst pain you’ve ever had in your life. And I went through it twice.”

Angle has been working select independent matches since leaving TNA in January, and there have been several rumors about the Olympic gold medalist returning to WWE next year.

Mick Foley announced on Tuesday that he will be working on a new book.

He wrote the following on Facebook:

“I have been working on a new memoir about my experiences in the red suit as one of Santa’s ambassadors. It’s been a fun and rewarding project, being written only in places where Christmas spirit lives all year round. So, unlike past books, I’m not writing on airplanes, locker rooms, hotels or emergency rooms. Just places like Jefferson, New Hampshire’s “Santa’s Village”, where I did some writing in Santa’s house in the original 1953 rocking chairs from the park’s opening. This past week, I made it to Indianapolis for #ClashOfChampions by way of #SantaClaus Indiana, where I wrote from #SantasCandyCastle the 1935 landmark believed to be America’s oldest themed attraction, and from the very spot where Santa Claus first greeted guests at #HolidayWorld originally known as #SantaClausLand when the park opened 70 years ago.

I am not under the impression that this is going to be a big seller by any means – so it’s something I’m doing just for fun, because it is important to me. It’s not going to be controversial. I won’t be slinging any dirt or making anybody look bad. But there will be a surprising amount of wrestling in this book – as everything I have learned in life revolves around sports entertainment.

Who’s going to be adding this book to their Christmas wish list in 2017.”

So now Ryback is testing the waters about getting into MMA. He's in talks with Bellator though. If anything I would expect Bellator to fix a fight in order to give Ryback a win.

Following in the footsteps of his hero CM Punk. He even did a shoot podcast recently in which he aired a lot of the same grievances with WWE as Punk had. :P

In a recent promotional interview for WWE 2k17 in The Sun, Paul Heyman talked about the possibility of his client Brock Lesnar meeting Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a WWE ring. Lesnar and Johnson are both much more famous now than they were when they had their 2002 SummerSlam match, and if they faced off again it would likely be the biggest match of the year.

Heyman noted that The Rock didn’t call out Lesnar during any of his recent returns, instead choosing Bray Wyatt and Rusev. After teasing that The Rock may not be ready for Lesnar, Heyman talked about Brock Lesnar’s star power and feels that his client is the biggest draw in wrestling.

“I think Brock Lesnar against anyone is an automatic sell-out,” he said of Lesnar’s drawing power. “Brock does not wrestle 52 Monday’s a year on Monday Night Raw, he does not come to your home town every week, his appearances are rare. They are unique and extraordinary. Which is why, whenever Brock Lesnar appears it is a rare and unique opportunity for the paying customer to see the greatest living athlete in the history of WWE appear live in an extraordinary event that only Brock Lesnar can deliver on. This is why he is the greatest box office attraction.”

WWE producer James Gibson, better known by his ring name of Jamie Noble, was stabbed Wednesday morning according to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin. According to what the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office relayed to Satin, Noble had just gotten home from the WWE loop and went on a short drive to get a snack. When he got home again, another motorist pulled up behind Gibson and accused him of cutting him off moments earlier. After Gibson tried to apologize, the other man continued to argue with him before “Noble eventually took the man to the ground when things got physical.”

That’s when two more men got out of the suspect’s car, with at least one of them stabbing Gibson in the back. He was taken to a local emergency room and treated, but his condition as of this writing is unknown past the point that he remains hospitalized. Satin also noted that WWE is aware of the whole situation.

Gibson had not appeared on TV as Jamie Noble since March, disappearing when The Authority storyline was largely blown off at WrestleMania. He retired as a wrestler in 2009, having already started as a road agent/producer a few years earlier when WWE wanted someone with a more “modern” in-ring style working back stage. One of his first contributions was teaching Shawn Michaels the reverse figure four leg lock that he used as a secondary finishing hold late in his career.

On the latest edition of The Ric Flair Show, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair discussed Dolph Ziggler’s future on WWE television. Following the news of Ziggler putting his career on the line in a match against The Miz at No Mercy, Flair took to his podcast to share a rumor he had heard about Ziggler’s status.

The Nature Boy revealed that he’s been told Ziggler’s contract expires after No Mercy. Flair said he hopes this isn’t the case as he’s a big fan of the former World Champion. Flair feels that Ziggler’s in-ring talent should secure him a spot on TV as long as he wants, but has also heard that WWE has a position for him behind-the-scenes.
