The Wrestling Observer reports that three WWE talents are currently suffering from injuries – NXT’s Sawyer Fulton & SmackDown’s Naomi and Jey Uso.

Regarding Fulton, he’s expected to be out of action for several months with some sort of shoulder or biceps injury. His absence is the reason for Big Damo joining Sanity, which began on this week’s NXT episode. Fulton last wrestled on 11/17 at the NXT house show in Boston, teaming with Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe for a loss to No Way Jose and TM-62.

Naomi and Jey are both suffering with ankle injuries. Naomi is expected back this week but The Observer did not provide further details on Jey. They both last wrestled on 11/22 – Naomi a loss to Alexa Bliss on Main Event and The Usos a Tag Team Turmoil loss to American Alpha on SmackDown.

Hm, sounds as though Chris Hero might be returning to WWE/NXT as Kassius Ohno. :hmm:

Could still use a better name though.

Well, I have been thinking about incorporating transgender characters into WWE programming. Maybe Kassius Ohno took some time to transition into Chrissy Hero?

On the most recent edition of Booker T’s Heated Conversations podcast, WWE Champion AJ Styles talked about the possibility of a “dream match” against Shawn Michaels.

“It’s not up to me to have dream matches,” AJ told Booker. “It’s up to the WWE Universe to have those dream matches and whatever they want, I want to deliver. Now, whether or not Shawn would like to do something like that, that’s totally up to him. I totally respect who he is and what he [has] done for this business. And so, that’s totally in his court.”

Styles had previous said in Sports Illustrated that he wanted to face Michaels at the Royal Rumble. Jim Ross wrote on his blog that based on his conversations with Michaels, he thinks the match is a “long shot” but that Michaels would at least consider a request like that from WWE. “I’d realistically put the odds of this main event happening at less than 50-50 but I’d love to be wrong on this one,” Ross wrote in October.

Apparently Foley is taking the rest of the month off, so for the foreseeable future we won't have to deal with his nonsensical issues with Sami Zayn.

Well, Foley may be gone, but that doesn't mean Dude Love isn't ready to step in and make Raw hip and funky again.

I feel if Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler switched places I would be a lot happier.

Ziggler and Sheamus have feuded before, they even kissed each others arses once or twice, so they could believably do the frenemies tag team with Ziggler as the speedy guy and Sheamus as the heavy. Doing this would cause me to lose great interest in the angle as the only reason I care now is because of Cesaro's presence, but I don't care about a lot of things that happen on Raw so a Ziggler/Sheamus tag team would fit right in.

But then Cesaro would now be feuding the AJ Styles for the WWE title and I think those could be some great matches. And you never know maybe he'd get a win in there?

Former WWE Superstar Wade Barrett (Stu Bennett) recently spoke with Sports Illustrated about his time with the company and what led him to walk away. Barrett is now pursuing a career in acting, which he says offers him much more freedom than he had in WWE.

“When you’re with WWE, you are operating within very fine boundaries that you cannot step outside of,” he said. “Now I have offers for movie roles that are completely out of what you would expect for me, and that’s really exciting. The opportunity to go away from WWE and be myself and become Stu again is exactly what I needed.”

Barrett had grown frustrated with his role in WWE. He’s had a lifelong obsession with pro wrestling, but came to the realization that he was putting his health at risk for something he was no longer in love with.

“Unfortunately, in 2015 and again in 2016, I was asked to play a character and perform storylines that I found thoroughly uninspiring,” he said. “After making repeated attempts to change my career trajectory and having those efforts turned down, my passion for playing the role of a WWE Superstar went away.”

It was an incident back in November 2015 that spelled the beginning of the end for “Wade Barrett.” During a match, one of his arms went completely numb for a minute or so. “That’s when I came to the realization that I didn’t want to put my body on the line doing something that wasn’t inspiring me, and I decided to move my career in a different direction.”

Barrett’s new movie Eliminators was just released, and he’s got two more (Vengeance, Fanged Up) coming out next year.

As for a future in pro wrestling, he does expect to compete again and revealed he’s spoke with “quote a few wrestling companies” regarding an eventual return to the ring. “I’m very much open to acting, but also to wrestling. I’ve spoken with quite a few wrestling companies about some opportunities that might be coming up.”
