Yeah hopefully Rusev can get a big, serious push. I like that he's no longer paired with Lana because he doesn't really need her to do promos for him anymore. Plus with Lana there's a chance he'll just get dragged into shit like that awful nonsense with Enzo at the hotel room.

It's good for Lana too I think. Now she doesn't have to be stuck with the fake Russian accent, so she can be more natural. Not that her dancing gimmick is good at all, I think she's a horrible dancer.

Rusev tho, yes, this is good for him. But, what he's gonna need now is the WWE title to legitimize him, just like Mark Henry's Hall of Pain gimmick did for him. In fact, just re-do the Hall of Pain stuff with Rusev, but call it the Bulgarian Brusier Brigade.

Rusev could be a mega heel. I think he needs a better signature move than the super kick though. If he had a high impact move that he could snap before the Accolade, that would help him.

I think from now on when WWE does London tapings for Raw and Smackdown, they must have Sir William be the manager for the heels to add some class and brilliance.

Randomly thought back to this old classic earlier today:

That's such an odd, one of a kind moment because Shawn is overselling to an exaggerated level probably for no other reason than because he's pissed Hogan turned down the trilogy of matches idea, but if anyone else had ever done that they would have been hated on and accused of making a joke of the entire business. But because we're talking about Shawn Michaels he can do whatever he wants and get away with it. :P

Not sure, but does it seem like every ppv theme from 2002 was fucking awesome? I mean, even fucking Backlash had a great theme.

SmackDown Live star AJ Styles was recently interviewed by Inside The Ropes and spoke about his relationship with WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon.

Styles had a long career before he arrived in WWE as a surprised entrant in the 2016 Royal Rumble. Since his debut, Styles has gone on to have stellar matches John Cena, had a lengthy run with the WWE Championship and is arguably one of the top performers in the company. His WWE Championship run and his prominent placement at the top of the card do not come without the blessing of Vince McMahon.

During his talk with Inside the Ropes, AJ Styles shed some light on how he won Vince McMahon over. Nobody questions Styles’ in-ring abilities and he can more than hold his own on the microphone. What he believes really won Vince over was the fact that he’s a team player and gives his all for the sake of the company – not just his own personal advancement.

“I think that once you proven yourself to Vince McMahon that you’re not some guy that only cares about himself and only wants to get himself over at the expense of stabbing someone in the back….This isn’t about me, this is about us. Let’s find a way to make WWE bigger, better and more popular and more exciting”

Styles believes Vince McMahon appreciates his contributions thus far, which is probably one of the reasons he got the opportunity to wrestle Vince’s son Shane at WrestleMania 33 in one of the featured matches on the card.

“When he sees that in someone, when he sees that passion in someone, everyday you get a little bit more trust with Vince McMahon and I want that,” he said. “He’s my boss and I can go in there anytime and talk to him if need be. There is a relationship there that I enjoy and I want to get stronger. Day in and day out, I want to prove to him that I care about us, rather than me. And I think he appreciates that.”

Part-time Raw star Brock Lesnar was recently interviewed by Inside The Ropes and spoke about his relationship with WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon.

Since his re-debut, Lesnar has gone on to have stellar matches John Cena, had a lengthy run with the WWE Championship (off television) and is arguably one of the top part-timers in the company. His WWE Championship run and his prominent placement at the top of the card do not come without the blessing of Vince McMahon.

During his talk with Inside the Ropes, Brock Lesnar shed some light on how he won Vince McMahon over. Nobody questions Lesnar’s in-ring abilities and Paul Heyman can more than hold his own on the microphone for him. What he believes really won Vince over was the fact that he’s not a team player and gives his all for the sake of himself – solely for his own personal advancement.

“I think that once you proven yourself to Vince McMahon that you’re just some guy that only cares about himself and only wants to get himself over at the expense of stabbing someone in the back….This is about me, this isn't about us. Let’s find a way to make me bigger, better and more popular and more exciting”

Lesnar believes Vince McMahon appreciates his contributions thus far, which is probably one of the reasons he got the opportunity to wrestle yet another part-timer Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 in one of the featured matches on the card.

“When he sees that in someone, when he sees that lack of passion in someone, everyday you get a little bit more trust with Vince McMahon and I deserve that,” he said. “He’s my boss and I can go in there anytime and talk to him if need be. There is a relationship there, but I don't give a shit and I couldn't care less about. Day in and day out, I prove to him that I care about me, rather than us. And I think he appreciates that.”

Former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt was recently a guest on Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast to discuss his WWE career. Topics of discussion include his WWE title reign, who he’d like to begin a program with next, and how much longer he has inside the ring.

You can check out the highlights here (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

Always expecting to have become WWE Champion:

“I think people expected it of me and I definitely expected it of myself and it was everything that I wanted to obtain.” Wyatt added, “it is huge for me. It has made my life’s work complete.”

Planning to wrestle for 15 more years:

“There’s a lot of stuff I have to do yet. It’s just [winning the world title] was something very important to me and this is something that will cement me. Forever I will be remembered as something special, but my body is ready to roll for another 15 years, so I’m not looking at stopping. I’ve got a lot that I want to do and a lot that I want to achieve.”

“I just know [I will last 15 more years]. I’ve got nowhere else to go. This is where I belong and as hope would have it that I would last that long. That’s how I see myself.”

Wanting future title feuds with various Superstars:

“There are a couple that I haven’t got to that I would be very, very interested in. Seth Rollins, I haven’t got to. AJ Styles, and just kind of a throwback, that I’ve been at war with my entire [pro wrestling] career, Dean Ambrose. I wouldn’t mind getting back in there with him because we create wonderful chaos together. We’ve both spent our entire career trying to kill each other, so it’s very fitting for us to carry on.”

Paul Heyman telling him he’s the first person in his family to have become WWE Champ:

“I actually didn’t know that. Paul Heyman told me that. He congratulated me, called me, and told me I was the first one and I didn’t know that. I never really measured my success with titles because I never really had any titles. I was just working hard and trying to be the best me that I can be. But when he told me that, it was a big ‘wow’. Out of all of us, I was the one to do it. I wasn’t expecting that at all.”

''I'm from Winnipeg, you idiots!'' :drinkit:

Also, I always enjoy hearing stories about what it was like for the superstars of now to grow up as fans of the product, and hearing the type of antics they would get up to because they loved wrestling so much. For example:

''I absolutely was a wrestling fan. My whole family - big wrestling fans. I watched it since I was 6 I think, about 6. My cousins and I had a blow-up pool that didn't have water in it, so we pretended to be the Hardy's and Lita, so we were jumping in the pool and acting like we were wrestling. We watched Raw every Monday, we had Pizza and my family watched it. I wasn't allowed to watch the Attitude Era because my mom told me to clean my room once and I was like, I have two words for you, so I put my arms up to do the 'Suck It' and she was like, you're grounded, and I was like, that's not how it goes. So I wasn't allowed to watch the Attitude Era, but my mom would let me watch it anyways at my grandma's.''
Oh yes, it's true it's true!

It's already been booked - I got a great deal on Priceline!
According to WWE's website, Braun's elbow was shattered so - after the surgery - he's now going to be out for up to six months.
