At some point Punk is going to return because everybody except Savage and Jarrett have. Jarrett we know why, but Randy Savage never being given the chance to ever make an appearance in WWE again is one of the greatest mysteries ever. Even Vince will bury the hatchet if he can make money off it. And that's why Punk I think is eventually going to return, if he gets a Lesnar deal and I think the longer Punk stays away, the greater the chance of him getting such a deal there is. If Vince offers to give him such a deal and in return Punk drops the lawsuit, Vince saves money on legal fees, ratings go up with Punk's return, Punk will make big bucks, not be working that much, and it just becomes a win-win for both sides. The thing about Punk that's different from everybody else that's found their way out of WWE is that almost 4 years later, he is still over and people still want to see him. Guys like Ryback, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, etc. they're decent wrestlers, they can be main event guys, but we know WWE isn't going to book them as such. Punk... he's always a main event talent and with Cena disappearing more and Brock likely done with the company and Roman not being popular, Punk can be a draw during Cena's absences and Brock's void. And if anything, Punk being in WWE would give Heyman an incentive to stay too as his manager, not that Punk needs one. Shit, I can see them making Heyman a GM or commissioner of Raw/SD and he can give Punk preferential treatment as a champion and screw young babyfaces like Chad Gable or Shinsuke Nakamura with unfair stipulations in matches with Punk. |

But what exactly has changed from when he left that would make him want to return? The same problems are still present. Certain guys are pushed despite how talented others are, same 50/50 booking styles, folks who feel special in NXT are brought up to become just another face on the roster. Whatever problems he has with Vince its also been said he's not a big fan of Triple H either. Will he wrestle again? Sure, but my guess would be that happens in ROH once Daniel Bryan's WWE contract expires and he's free to start his independent comeback tour. |

What's changed is Punk doesn't have as much money as he did 4 years ago, has the potential to make more money than when he left, yet work less, and with the brand split now, Vince needs big name guys to draw. Will the 50/50 booking change? No. Will NXT people who come up get treated different? Maybe, because both Punk and Triple H would agree that Vince and Kevin Dunn have fucked them up. I don't even know what Punk's thoughts are on NXT, I can't imagine that they're negative as reception to the shows are overwhelmingly positive and that brand is elevating younger talent, a position Punk knows well and I think Punk still thinks he's a downtrodden youth. Point is there are some positive things in the company. The Network is a success, NXT is a success, profits are doing fine. |

I guess it's a good thing he has another comic for Marvel coming out as well as another fight in UFC to make some more money then. For everything that's ever been said about Punk I think you could say he's a pretty stubborn guy. Pretty much everyone who has left WWE on bad terms has come back years later, even Jeff Jarrett attended or is still in WWE sponsored rehab. I think that Punk would take pride in being that one guy that didn't ever return. Plus, they need him more than he needs them. He can go to ROH or in Japan and hook up with the Bullet Club. Have you heard how many shirts the Young Bucks sell through Hot Topic? Imagine taking a notable name in CM Punk and adding him to that mix. He doesn't need WWE to make cash. |

Punk is not going to Japan, the work their is too brutal for him to take at his age and it's too much of a travel hassle. ROH is a no-go also as it can't pay Punk what he could get paid in New Japan or WWE. And that's the reason I think Punk will wind up back in WWE: they need him that badly and in all the time that he's been away, I think Vince would pay him Lesnar money and Punk is not stupid, he would not turn down that type of offer if it was made. And the thing is, whether Punk has another MMA fight or not doesn't matter because he's an embarrassment of an MMA fighter. Whatever he gets paid by UFC or whoever else, he can't fight. He would actually look like less of a joke going to WWE and putting over Roman Reigns because that's everybody else's job there. |

See but that is the x factor. He walked away because he felt abused and disrespected and has said he will never go back and he's fine with that. Is there enough money for him to sell his pride and self respect to return to the company? You may be surprised to know that some people won't bend over no matter how many zeros are on the check. As I said ROH is a possibility and while they may not be able to pay him millions what they would pay him plus the money he'd get from merchandise sales would be nothing to scoff at. Also, I'd bet he'd have more fun and be happier doing those shows than the WWE stuff. |

I'm listening to a clip of Brian Alvarez, Dave Meltzer's sidekick, that WWE is trying to leak that something big is allegedly happening on Smackdown tonight, likely that WWE is trying to make people believe that Jinder is losing to Styles. It's got me thinking now that the reason Vince had Seth and Dean drop the titles on Raw is to further trick people that a title change can happen anytime and you have to watch. The possible reasons for this are that WWE is concerned about a low Smackdown rating last week on Halloween, which is possible as the tape delayed shows from the UK generally suffer from lower ratings and interest, but also that maybe Jinder is hurt or failed a drug test. A caller had said that he thinks WWE may have ESPN leak that Jinder lost the title, only for that to be a lie and Jinder retains. |

VERY rare GM post. Owens has been treated very well in the company for years, so idk why he'd be suspect. Zayn has been treated like nothing since he got called up and has really been one of the posterchilds for what most NXT guys can expect when they finally make it to Raw/SD. Allegedly Owens and Zayn were supposed to attack New Day after the match ended last night so the New Day could beat them down and look strong, but Owens and Zayn just left after the match. That could easily have just been a miscommunication by the producers and agents backstage. If it was intentional, there's no reason WWE couldn't have edited it out of a TAPE DELAYED SHOW. |

For the time being, the Majaraja is not WWE champion, but I don't see AJ holding the title for long. Call it intuition, I just don't think he's going to have it until Mania. I think it's entirely possible that Jinder wins the title back on the Smackdown following Survivor Series or the ppv in December or this upcoming tour of India. It'll be a gurantee Jinder gets the title back if for no reason at all, WWE decides to broadcast on the Network live the show where he will inevitably have a title match with Styles on the India tour. Whether it's Jinder or Styles, I see them being set up to fall to Cena at the Rumble. Yes, the same Rumble I predict Roman Reigns is going to win will be the same show John Felix Anthony Cena wins title number 17 to break Flair's fake WWE record of title reigns.
