It's actually a very good sign that WWE cleared Daniel Bryan to wrestle again. He made it pretty clear that it was his intention to wrestle outside of WWE when his contract ended because they wouldn't clear him, and you can't really blame WWE because even if there was a small chance that he could suffer serious damage they didn't want to take that risk and have that come back to bite them. They were looking at their best interest but it also focused on Bryan's health. So they stood firm that their medical staff had to clear him and now that they have that must mean that whatever Bryan has been doing to improve his health has had a positive effect, which is good for him and others in any sport that have suffered similar injuries.
Idk what one can do that improves brain injuries caused by concussions. When we last heard about the state of his brain, there were lesions on his brain. Now two years later and no wrestling since then, I guess those lesions have healed over time.

So, the only thing that heals the brain is time apparently. All Bryan can do now is drop the fucking diving headbutt from his move set.

He's been doing hyperbaric oxygen therapy. I don't fully understand what it does or how it works, but it can be used in cases where there were traumatic brain injuries. It's obviously not a guaranteed thing, but I do know that ol' Joe Namath has done it and fully believes in it.

A cursory reading on it sounds like the therapy introduces more oxygen and air at higher pressures than normal. More oxygen delivered to the brain is a good thing, so I guess it helps the brain heal itself. It could also be something that works for some, but not all.

But, I don't think anything helps alleviate the damage his brain has already received and if he gets another concussion, his time in WWE is over.

They're not gonna take any chances with him. It was said that after everything he does he will undergo impact testing, which is usually only used for someone who is suspected of having a concussion and then it can be managed from there. But Bryan will do that test every time. So when Kevin and Sami beat him up on Smackdown after it was all said and done Bryan had to go through the impact test protocol.

According to cagesideseats.com, one of the rumors going around is that if Hulk Hogan returns to WWE, he will take over as Smackdown GM, since Bryan will be returning as an active wrestler.

No, the one where he shows up every few months as a special attraction to boost a Raw rating or to be on a ppv kickoff panel.

Ehhh, I've never been much of a Hogan fan so it's hard to even get excited for that. There are other legends I'd prefer to see them waste use. Plus with Hogan you know he's just going to do that thing where the fans are cheering and he grabs a microphone, lifts it to his mouth and then stops and the fans cheer again. Meanwhile Hogan just stands there all 'hurrrr'.

Yeah, but I'm just stating the capacity I'd want to see Hogan in if he was coming back. I'd prefer not to see him at all either, he adds little to the current product.

If anything, it's guys like Stone Cold, Undertaker, and CM Punk that would actually add to Raw/SD broadcasts if they showed up more even in strictly non-wrestling roles. Of course, that just means they'd have to cut super scripted promos and I think more than anything, that's the biggest issue with WWE today. Apart from the 50/50 booking and start/stop pushes.

And the whole making Roman look strong baloney.

Stone Cold wouldn't do any scripted promos. He'd just go out and say whatever he wanted to say and that would be it. After all what would they do to him? :P

Guess you're right. Those guys are so big that WWE needs them more than they need WWE. Austin's proven that, Punk's proven that, but Undertaker... IDK. I think he just shows up in April every year because the money is worth it, but he doesn't necessarily need it.
