Ehhh, I wouldn't agree with that. I think you're taking this way too seriously. The WWE has always done stupid stuff from time to time, it's like their calling card. I will say it is rare that an entire show has something great on it from top to bottom, but there's always been some element of good to their product. Currently it's wherever Miz goes he's gonna be awesome, Rollins with the IC title should lead to some good matches, hopefully Finn or Joe go to Smackdown to add some more star power there, plus they're going to put Daniel Bryan into a lot of cool matches to capitalize on this 'dream match' stuff because they're not really sure about him 100% so they're going to get all the big matchups out of the way early. Stop worrying about what happened at Wrestlemania. It's in the past. |

Sorry if I still try to look at Wrestlemania as something special where great things happen and legends are born. Maybe I'm wrong about the Charlotte-Asuka match, maybe having Charlotte break the streak is the right decision long term because it was a shock and because maybe Charlotte is going to be the greatest women's wrestler ever. I mean, WWE books her as such when in reality she's BORING AS HELL. I can't remember when she won the women's title on Smackdown, but I damn well remember her shitty feud with Natalya for it and how little I can remember from it other than those two girls have bad matches together. My biggest issue is that Charlotte is not better than Asuka or Sasha in the ring, she's not as charismatic as Asuka, Sasha, Becky, Naomi or Alexa, so Charlotte in reality is probably the 5th or 6th best female on their roster, yet she's called the "Queen" and is booked like something special, something of quintessential wrestling legend. She's none of that and she comes off as Roman Reigns with blonde hair and a cunt. Wrestlemania is becoming just another show, just a really long one that's so long, it actually damages the main event matches at the end of a 6+ hour show because everybody is fucking tired. If the biggest yearly wrestling show is losing it's luster and importance, it becomes difficult to be interested in WWE because the big 4 PPV's are where stars are born and currently, stars aren't being born. Ronda was already a star, just a UFC star, but for a larger than life character to take that final step into the stratosphere, it's all but impossible now and because of that, how is one to be interested in mediocrity? |

This PPV in itself presented an argument against the idea that Charlotte beating Asuka is to set up long term booking. After all, they didn't even pay off the entire last year's worth of booking setting up Roman to win the title from Brock, so what confidence should I have that they'll actually follow through with any such possible long term plans for Charlotte that'll make her win at WM seem worth it? |

Well, the Roman call was apparently a last minute thing with Vince and I think that the end result is going to be Roman winning in Jeddah. The escape the cage rule enables Roman to win without pinning or submitting Lesnar, so it gets the belt of Brock without him being defeated really. The Roman pay off is coming, I think the match was a swerve because everybody went into that match thinking Roman was a lock. He is a lock to beat Brock for the Universal title schlock, it's just we don't know for certain when. I think it'll be at the Greatest Royal Rumble. Charlotte beating Asuka is going to be a notch on Charlotte's belt for Cole to spew multiple times a week and for the Pre-show panels to jizz their pants over her ending Asuka's streak. It's not even a question that Charlotte and Ronda are going to cross paths, they're destined to with the way WWE places them in the pecking order and right now, the only woman higher up than Ronda and Charlotte is Stephanie. |

But that argument ties back into your own argument about Mania not being special anymore. The moment was built for Mania, specifically the Mania main event, not for just any old PPV. And it's a moment they spent an entire year building towards, and cut several guts off at the hip to get towards, to happen at Mania. And then it didn't. |

Picture not displaying, but lemme guess...  EDIT: Oh, Asuka and Ronda. Uh, I would argue Asuka belongs on the cover, but Ronda isn't even a wrestler and hasn't done shit to improve the state of women's wrestling. There's always and forever going to be one unsung hero that WWE will never recognize as having a massive part of the women's evolution and that's AJ Lee.
