I'm much rather see Punk leave WWE under it's current condition than it to end up being a lame work leading to a match with HHH. If it is a work, I don't think I would ever want to see another CM Punk match again.
I have fought some guys that weren't actually there and I beat them so bad they disappeared.

It also doesnt help that AJ looks 12.
Maybe not for you
i'm just saying maybe Punk is into the whole "Lolita" thing. Seeing as how he's done Adult Lita, he wants to try pre-teen, pre breast implants, look-a-like Lita.

Punk left at a good time but I still feel he showed his hand too soon. Everyone knew he wanted to main event Mania and they knew he was unlikely going to resign with the WWE when his contract ended. Trips was going to bury him at Mania.

Oh, HHH was definitely going to bury Punk at Mania because Triple H is neither heel or face anymore because that's WWE new method of characters. tbh, I think the Authority Angle has been the worst angle since the Spirit Squad and McMahon's vs DX and the worst angle in wrestling since the Aces and 8's started in TNA. Going back to when i started watch wrestling again in 2006 after over a year and a half hiatus, I've never been more bored our disinterested in anything WWE's done since the time this Authority angle started. What WWE needs now is less HHH, not more.

Actually, what WWE needs is no Triple H at all.

Cesaro has finally won Vince McMahon over after his stellar match against John Cena last night on RAW.

According to a high-level source who was backstage at the show, Vince was “thrilled” with the match and has finally recognized Cesaro’s potential. Cesaro received a standing ovation backstage after his match against Cena.

Several of Vince’s trusted advisors told him they think Cesaro can be one of the biggest stars in the company.

Cesaro has been over fans and colleagues with his unique move set and his impressive feats of strength, but it was only a year ago when Vince told the writers and producers that he saw nothing in the Swiss Superstar.

Following RAW, Cesaro’s ‘stock’ with Vince hit an all time high.

lots of news articles about Punk today... nothing real special from what i read except that WWE stated they have no officially released him... i really hope he doesn't come back as it makes him look like these ideals and values that are held so highly by him, we believe, are not true

It's about time Vince took notice, but I'm curious, what's the general consensus of the forum regarding that Cesaro vs. Cena match; MOTY candidate, perhaps? Personally, I thought it was really good, but I feel like this year's Punk vs. Cena RAW equivalent might be happening next week.

We haven't seen RVD in ages and while that would be a great match, it's too much effort to bring BOTH guys back to square off. It just doesn't make any sense.

I'd be down for Jericho and RVD. Yeah there really is no reason for them to have a feud, but then again Batista won the Royal Rumble. If it were to happen I'd like to see Ziggler added to the match. He's probably got nothing better to do, and logically he could benefit from the win.

If WWE's going to keep shafting guys that are going to be there come Survivor Series for guys that aren't, the least they can do is do it with guys I like.

... And it is because I like them that I suspect that there is no chance that is actually occurring.

But if that match happens will Cesaro even get on the card?

Cesaro needs to be on the card

I honestly do not see it happening and see little reason for it to occur.

Maybe if this were the early 2000's I'd be a lot more excited over the prospect of a match between RVD/Y2J taking place at Wrestlemania, but this is 2014. Plus, it's getting a little late to just start throwing part-timers into the mix this close to Wrestlemania. I can see returns happening during the Royal Rumble (Or anytime before) since it adds a certain level of surprise and wonder to the match, but to have RVD and Y2J come back now in order to deliver a performance on the grandest stage of them all... That's just cruel.

And knowing Jericho, he would not be down with the idea unless WWE somehow added somebody else within the current roster to the proceedings, only for them to pick up the victory.

The work in the match was top notch. Very likely your TV MOTY, unless we luck out with some stuff in the coming year (and to be honest, we've been treated to a lot of really strong wrestling for a while now), but I would be a little surprised if it would hold up as a MOTYC.

My knock on it comes from the intangibles. To me there just wasn't enough on the line, and it kind of felt like an Undertaker Streak match, where we might have tried to fool ourselves into believing Cesaro could win and the work in the ring tried to make it seem plausible, it was never really an option. There wasn't a real story or back story to give it the juice to make it more than a really strong showcase. However, if WWE lets it, it can be forgotten in a few weeks like the Rollins-Cena match.

I'd rank it right in line with DB-Bray. Work wise, it edges DB-Bray, but Bryan-Bray had the backstory (flawed as it may have been) to give it the juice Cesaro-Cena lacked.

Taking a quick peek at the current roster there aren't a whole lot of potential opponents. Sheamus would be the most likely imo. Mysterio a very distant second.

I think you could do the IC Title more good by throwing it on RVD or Jericho for a match at Mania and then having them drop the belt to someone at Extreme Rules than you could with anything you can do with Big E or Swagger.

The Middle Aged Outlaws beat the Rhodes Brothers on a damn pre-show match for the tag team titles.
