You have the freedom of speech, just as the WWE has the freedom to kick you out for being disruptive at their show. And yes being disruptive is their call to make. They see some goober with a sign like UFC>WWE and they know and some point that some idiot might get mad about it. I speak from first hand experience as some fat body got all huffy that a couple compatriots of mine and myself, were making Statler and Waldorf jokes about Jeff Hardy from our balcony seats at a smackdown taping. "What's the best part about a Jeff Hardy match? what? When it's over! Bwahahahahaha" "When did Jeff Hardy get good at cutting a promo? I dunno, When? When CM Punk pretended to be him! Bwahahahahahaha!" "you know there is only one thing worse than Jeff Hardy. Yeah, what's that? Matt Hardy. Bwahahahahahaha" Edited by TheGM, Feb 27 2014, 06:50:58 PM.

Highlights from Foley's new Facebook blog: On being outspoken about the WWE product lately: “Yes, I’ve been outspoken lately about a couple of things in WWE. But much as I felt when I was working elsewhere, and had to accept that my own kids preferred the WWE product to the product my company was offering, I had to make a decision: stop watching WWE out of protest for the one thing I felt like they were doing wrong (which they still might get right) and miss out on that valuable family bonding time WWE provides us….or agree to disagree with WWE on an issue or two, and enjoy all the good things they do with my family.” “I mentioned a couple of days ago that I might stop watching “Raw” for a little while…and I might. But with this new WWE network, abandoning the product completely would seem kind of futile, especially in a house full of WWE fans.” On the WWE Network: “So we spent a couple hours watching the network yesterday – catching a great steel cage tag-team match betweern Edge – WWE Universe & Christian – WWE Universe and The Hardy Boyz. Great stuff! We also caught the September 2000 match between Triple H and Kurt Angle with me, as commissioner, and brought back to life just how much fun that whole storyline was, and how an arena full of Attitude fans had let out a simultaneous “oooh” when Kurt, waiting in the rain (with umbrella in hand) had the audacity to give Stephanie McMahon a kiss on the chhek! Oooh. Sounds ridiculously innocent, and very much G-rated, but in the course of events, it was absolutely compelling.” On watching old Eddie Guerrero footage: “I also had the chance to revisit an old friend who is no longer with us – Eddie Guerrero. Of course, anyone who was around when Eddie wrestled remebers what an amazing in-ring performer eddie was. But with the help of the new network, I was reminded of what an incredible entertainer he was, as well. I’d forgotten how funny his segments could be, and how the slightest expression – the wide-eyed look of wonder when he “accidentally” defeated Chyna for a championship – could create such a sense of fun; a reminder to me why just so many people loved the Attitude Era above and beyond the wilder elements that usually define it.” |

WWE has added the “Christmas Bounty” film starring The Miz to Netflix. There was originally concern that WWE would be pulling their content off of Netflix due to their new WWE Network service, however the latest word is that they won’t be taking their stuff off of Netflix because it has been a solid source of revenue for the company. What the hell?! ''WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross appeared on the Opie & Anthony radio show this morning to promote his “RINGSIDE” shows in New York City on Saturday. During the interview, JR told a funny story involving Vince McMahon. As the story goes, during the Attitude Era, McMahon wanted to fart to make Gerald Brisco vomit. However, he did it right before he was getting ready to shoot a live promo and instead of simply farting, Vince “sharted” in his pants. JR mentioned that McMahon was wearing light khaki pants and the crew in the production truck were all in hysterics, but none were brave enough to capture the incident on film.'' Figured TNA would take advantage to reunite them as tag team heels to face The Wolves. |

I bought that King of the Ring DVD for 5 bucks and its pretty good. I like the tournament style of it and think its something WWE should take advantage of more often. Its a good way to give guys exposure and invest fans in caring about who wins. On a side note there is nothing from the 1999 version of it, which was won by Billy Gunn. I still think it was a missed opportunity to not call him the Ass King after winning. |

Dolph Ziggler cut another WWE App promo (Which can be viewed on the WWE website). Anyway, the following is a transcript of what was said: “It was a bold move on my part. Batista, he’s been unstoppable but there’s one thing that can’t stop you in this business, in this day in age. No matter who says you’re guaranteed a main event spot at WrestleMania, no matter who says you come back and we’ll worship you, and kiss your feet and do everything in our power to make sure you’re there, you leave out the WWE Universe. I’m someone who has made my entire career based on the WWE Universe. I wasn’t supposed to be anybody, I was supposed to be a punching bag for guys on their way to the top. I was supposed to be someone who got laughed at and kicked in the face and people cheered. Somehow, someway, because of everything I’ve done, from 5 years old through high school, through college, everything I’ve ever wanted to be is the best. Whether I was in school standing up for other kids, I did it when I was in college as a captain of my team, I stood up for my team. Here in the WWE, I stand up for this entire roster. I can’t make them be the Superstars they want to be but I can make an example and tonight, I made an example of Batista. Some people have been handed opportunities. Some people are told, ‘you’re going to WrestleMania, no matter what you do, no matter who you are, we worship you and you’re going to WrestleMania.’ Some people are told straight to their face that they don’t have what it takes, they can’t be a headliner at WrestleMania. Tonight, not only do I stand up for myself, I stand up for every single Superstar who was told there’s no room for you on WrestleMania. WrestleMania XXX, the biggest WrestleMania of all-time, people were told there’s no room. Tonight, I make an example and I make room. Tonight, I become the next man in WrestleMania.” |

Punk is about as bad a Macho Man impersonator as he is a KENTA clone. And it all still manages to come together to make him one of the best wrestlers in the world. Maybe I should have tried to break in to wrestling trying to be a pale imitation of Bret Hart. |

I agree. Punk's delivery of the Elbow Drop maybe one of the worst in the history of the company. He doesn't even land his elbow on his opponents most of the time, more-so lands on them with the underside of his arm. ![]() ![]()

Highlights from a recent interview with Mick Foley: On how many concussions he’s had over the years: “Unfortunately, I had too many for me to count really.” On if he’s been approached to donate his brain for study: “I have been approached. These are some tough questions here. You see how quickly I did those autographs? We got through a few hundred people fairly quickly. Signing my name on that form to donate my brain took a long time. It’s a big step, but if other people can learn from what I’ve done, I’m willing to do it. I believe as long as I can continue to say the words Boston Center for Traumatic Encephalopathy that my brain is still working OK.” On his tolerance for pain: “You’ve got to make sure we talk about that in past tense. I did have a tremendous tolerance for pain. Now, not so much. Almost anything [brings me to my knees now]. I’m a guy who used to be fairly fearless. Now, please don’t tell me I have to walk down a flight of steps. [Wrestling] was tough on the body, the knee joints, the back, and so stairs are difficult.” |
