Anyone with the WWE Network watching the "Wrestlemania Today" stuff? I skimmed through Thursday's, and watched the majority of the one from yesterday while catching up on everything I missed while at work. I really like this thing... It is like how I hope the Pre and Post shows will become for mainly Raw (since SD! isn't live). Have chats with multiple superstars, live with the crew at the table. Have fans ask questions, and so on. With that said, on Friday's show, they had Fandango and Summer Rae, and apparently, in character, they are dating/married. Fandango called Summer "honey", and they talked about putting the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy on a mantle next to a special...Room. I actually wanted to see more of that angle from them. Fandango should drop the dancing stuff, and these two should play a Snobby married couple or something. |

Decided to watch Armageddon 1999 all the way through Wrestlemania 16 to get pumped for Mania. All I can say is: Jericho and Chyna worked some good matches, but it's probably because of Jericho. Cactus Jack vs. HHH at the Rumble in that Street Fight was awesome. HHH's calf was torn right open, absolutely insane. That was a crazy match that HHH managed to come out on top of. It's an inside joke from VGCW, a weekly show on Twitch.TV that features storylines and matches with really well created characters in 2k14 (Used to be 2k13). Usually they're video game, movie, or anime characters. It's completely ridiculous and pretty much exists for ridiculous humor and poking fun of the ironies in the actual WWE product. It actually gets quite a bit of viewers and has become pretty popular. In a VGCW Royal Rumble, the guy who runs things, let Jey Uso in by accident during the live stream, and he was now competing with all of these video game characters and shit. The chat went ape shit and it was hilariously out of place. They also had a "VGCW Vs. WWE" thing, where Jey Uso was one of the main guys on the WWE side because of the incident (He was defeated by M.Bison). So yeah, that's where it comes from. During the show whenever someone is asked to guess "Who's coming out next" they always say "Jey Uso" even though it's been over a year since that happened or some shit. The chat will never forget. |
