http://uproxx.com/sports/2014/05/wwes-stock-is-crashing-and-vince-mcmahons-about-to-become-a-hundredaire/

WWE's stock is crashing and Vince McMahon himself has lost $350 million since Thursday (which was a third of his networth)

This is relevant because their TV deal wasn't as good as they were promising investors it would be and the network is underperforming. It's a bad sign for the network going forward.

He didn't actually lose $350 million. He lost the theoretical $350 million in depreciated value of his owned stocks if he decided to sell right now.

Did the price of WWE's stock jump up because the network launching? Nope. It was the rumor about AMC buying them. Now to wrestling fans the idea of McMahon selling his company sounds fucking retarded, but to the vast majority of stock purchasers, who happen to be 3 inches from being retarded saw a quick fortune. once the the Network subscriber numbers came out people thought it would hurt the non-existent AMC deal and it started to drop. this Universal deal squashed those rumors and now people are dumping what they own.

Here is a pro tip. Stock prices and value are bullshit. it's only as valuable as what some jagov says it is(just like American currency, but that's a rant for another day). the stock market is a suckers game run on speculation, and the only real way to make real money, is to be the guy who handles trading stocks for dumbasses since you get an actual cut of his phantom money.

also once that Network goes global it should be fine.

You know more about this than I do

If it's found that Vince & WWE were deliberately misleading investors with the expectations for the TV deal can he get in trouble for that? Or is that something that's really hard to prosecute/prove/etc?

well yeah he would be in trouble. but they would have to prove he deliberately got a lower deal and that is almost impossible to prove. what you will see is asshole lawyers trying to sue WWE on behalf of stock investors so the WWE would plea out because taking it to trial would cost more money.

John Cena always playing the ultimate company man

Edit: The one for Seth Rollins is pretty cool though. http://www.wwe.com/classics/whos-your-favorite-wrestlers-favorite-wrestler/page-6

"He’s just so captivating to watch, because anything could happen at any moment. Things could go crazy. His matches against Samoa Joe were such a strange clash of styles, they were incredible to watch. There’s just this crazy energy between the two of them, because Joe is this animal of a man, but Necro can take every single thing that Joe can dish out. You can feel it. Necro Butcher is something special."

Never expected to see something like that in an article on wwe.com.

ROH star Kevin Steen and independent wrestler Willie Mack are expected to be offered WWE developmental contracts, according to a well placed source.

Powell's POV: I was told that ACH and Rocky Romero will not be getting offers at this time. Roderick Strong took part in the camp that included Steen and ACH, but there's no word yet as to whether the company intends to offer him a deal. As always, the talent must pass WWE medical testing before the deals will be made official.

@JML It isn't the first time Joe's gotten a mention on a WWE outlet. Punk alluded to him in his DVD/blu-ray, and if I'm mistaken, some ROH footage was used as well. Outside of that, the website's given him a nod or two in passing.
Ladies and Gentlemen. . .
Can I have some decorum, please?
I'm afraid I have some BAD NEWS!

“There’ll be a dozen Hall of Famers who thank Joey Mercury first and foremost in their acceptance speech,” Dean Ambrose told WWE.com.

For those who simply know Mercury as one half of MNM alongside John Morrison, Ambrose’s statement might be a little shocking. However, Mercury’s greatest impact on sports-entertainment came after he stepped out of the ring, and into his new role as one of WWE’s most respected producers, as well as a mentor to breakout Superstars like The Shield.

Kindof a neat article I thought
