Fun question,

What big spots or big moves will we see this year?

Package piledriver?

Etc?

Goldberg's been working on some impressive new offense. I saw him do some Atomic Drops the other day and they looked amazing!

I know it's unlikely, because there's too much money to lose, but I hope this is the end we see of Goldberg's latest run in WWE. The 50 year old man, who was never a good worker to begin with, is stale already and I cannot see anything else for him to do after Lesnar beats him. I liked how this got started with him showing up on Raw and basically saying he's still got something left in him and hoisting his son on his shoulder, but Goldberg looks like a relic from the past put in the wrong era.

It was nice to see a WCW guy again, there's not many of those huge names from that long dead company who still look as buff today as they did back then, but it's time for this to conclude. We have big names like Nakamura and Samoa Joe now, to rely on the past, a past that a portion of WWE's audience never lived through, is not good.

A great way to spice up the Taker v Reigns match was brought up on the "Review-A-Raw" podcast w John Pollack and Wei-Ting (Great wrestling podcast btw). Have Taker announce that he will retire the next time he loses a match. The drama that is missing from his streak matches is instantly back.

Really, Taker should've already retired by now anyways. Probably shoulda called it a career after his HIAC with HHH, but definitely should have been done after the streak was broken.

Basically like Ric Flair's final run, except this one will be self imposed? Given that it's Undertaker, it could work, but Taker would have to wrestle more than one or two matches a year to make it worth doing.

AJ Styles appears to be on a WrestleMania collision course with SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon, but one person who is not a fan of this matchup is Corey Graves. During Monday night’s Bring it to the Table episode, no topic was off limits – including WWE booking.

In particular, Graves said, “The prospect of AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon does absolutely nothing for me.”

The comments by Graves echo the sentiment from many WWE fans who worry that a match with Shane McMahon will not provide the excitement that an AJ Styles WM match with another opponent would. Graves continued that what fans remember about Shane McMahon matches are one big spot, such as diving off the Hell in a Cell, whereas AJ Styles is more about a complete match.

“AJ Styles is an artist, he can give you a full bell-to-bell experience,” Graves added.

There's much better Styles could be doing and what's worse is I think he's likely losing to Shane to boot.

Why do you think Styles is losing to Shane? Does Shane ever win these matches?

Why do you think Styles is losing to Shane? Does Shane ever win these matches?
Originally I thought of it as a joke in my tweet, then I thought about it for a bit and realized, it's the perfect way to get AJ Styles on Raw. Make it a street fight with a Loser Leaves Smackdown stipulation. Danial Bryan already fired him, so you could have a deal where AJ is fighting to stay on Smackdown, but get Shane removed and Shane wants to stay on SD, but get rid of Styles. Book the match to have Gallows and Anderson interfere and then have Bryan do a run in where he whacks everyone in The Club with a chair and Shane covers AJ for the pin.

Shane finally gets a win, AJ goes to Raw, Bryan gets a Wrestlemania moment.

Styles had a good run on SD, but now he's out of stuff to do in the main event and Raw could use some main event heels. Not only that, but Styles on Raw means he could team with Joe, Austin Aries, and (eventually) Bobby Roode as a stable.

As for Shane and him "ever winning these matches" that's the point: he never does and that's not going to last forever. If Shane's going to be in more matches, he needs to win some to be taken seriously and a win for him over AJ Styles is easy in comparison to the Undertaker in a Cell match. Besides, it's not like Shane hasn't won matches before due to other people interfering to help him out.

Everyone get out of the way TGO2 is here to break down Mania33.

To the casual viewers, Goldberg/Brock or Taker/Reigns will be MOTN. There's no debate there. The mainstream audience is gonna eat those matches up. Taker/Reigns will have the hottest crowd and it won't even be close.

For the hardcore IWC fan MOTN will be (I hope you're sitting down while you read this) ShaneOMac/AJ. I was tempted to go with Haitch/Rollins but not even Haitch will be able to get a solid match out of a man who has worse knees than my 94 year old grandfather.

Shane/AJ will be made a street fight and Shane O will make AJ look like a million bucks. It's gonna be great seeing the IWC do a 180 on this match. Reddit will be jizzing themselves over it. You heard it here first.

'Nuff Said.

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels says he recently declined an offer to lace up the boots one more time and face AJ Styles at WrestleMania 33.

HBK was the guest on the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast and revealed WWE approached him with an opportunity to face the Phenomenal One at the company’s biggest show of the year. Michaels is enjoying retirement, which is great for him but unfortunate for the rest of us.

“I could’ve had that match, they did not have an opponent for AJ at Wrestlemania”, Michaels said.

He went on to say that he knows fans would have loved the match, but the timing wasn’t right and it will be thought of as a dream match that never came to be.

“I wish that man was here 10 years ago man, I really do.”
