Kalisto vs Titus right after a 205 Live match?

WWE is just begging us to change the channel.
Sounds like another job for the #MasterOfTheRemote. :shades:

It's already been booked - I got a great deal on Priceline!
There was a point where the ref stopped counting when Rollins was outside the ring, technically screwing over Roman Reigns, but no one cares about that so I'll let it slide.

Just for interest:

On last week's Raw, Corey Graves said he'd like to shake the hand of whoever assaulted Enzo backstage...

42 mins in and this show shows no sign of becoming interesting.
#RawInANutshell
I just go done listening to an "Emergency" podcast by Jason Solomon, who rarely uploads a podcast in the middle of the week to talk about a Monday Night Raw or anything else, and in it he said that Raw is in desperate need of a real "Shake Up." Just a few weeks ago they did that Superstar Shakeup and after it happened, and the injury to Braun Strowman, Raw has fallen apart, the formula that the show follows is in complete disarray without the show's weekly top heel because the way WWE works today is everything is scripted out months in advance. It's not like it use to be during the Monday Night Wars where two weeks of bad ratings in a row there would be a massive change to get people watching again.

Now, if WWE has bad Raw after bad Raw, they generally don't give a shit because keeping the integrity of their Creative plans takes precedence over the quality of their product.

Is the absolute boring nature, the generally dead crowd reaction, and what will be a low rating for last night's Raw going to change the outcomes of the PPV this Sunday to make the Raw the next night be more appealing to the audience? Nope. Whatever WWE wanted to do at Extreme Rules before Raw aired is still what's going to happen.

Even if every title changes hands at Extreme Rules, the way the show is presented is still going to result in a boring show that people won't care to watch and for those that do, won't find a reason to care about what happens. This continual lack of interest, I think, has finally come to a head with how long the formula that WWE has used to structure Raw and how long we've been subjected to the same old crap.

These fucking horrible segments like the Bayley This is your life orwith Apollo Crews and Titus or some other garbage or outright waste of time with people we don't give a shit about aren't going away because of that 3rd fucking hour that WWE has to fill and can't because they sent half the fucking roster and a dozen of the interesting, entertaining, or over guys off to Tuesday Nights. It's bullshit that for a roster that has all the guys that Raw has, they can't get people interested in the them or the show.

Here's an idea for Raw: Instead of having this stupid Fatal 5 Way match for the #1 contender for Lesnar's title, have a bunch of the top guys in NXT currently invade the main event of Extreme Rules, beat the shit out of all 5 guys in the match and the match ends in a No Contest. Tie this "invasion* into the segment with Corey Graves going back to GM Angle about the text message he received that Angle said would, "Ruin him." There you can start an angle in NXT that Regal is trying to snuff out who the "Mastermind" of the invasion was at Extreme Rules so he can punish him. Have Angle make appearances on NXT with some of the guys from Raw as his bodyguards/ investigation assistants. Eventually after a month, it turns out it was William Regal who organized the "Invasion" to make Angle look bad to try and get him fired so he could be the GM.

Then, as a result of the match being a No Contest, have Angle make the WWE title match at Great BALLS OF FIRE!!! a 6 man Hell in a Cell like Armageddon 2000 so that it ensures "No one can interfere."

Boom, you have an interesting angle that crosses over with two shows, you have a different WWE title match that we don't see often, something other than a singles match with Brock Lesnar, which has become the epitome of formulaic for WWE.

And I'll finish with this:

We can talk all about how bad Raw is and what WWE needs to do to make it better, but likely won't all day long. The thing is, the ratings for this show have become so low and there's so little interest in the show by the audience, that Raw is close to losing far more viewers than ever before to the point that this show may soon be in jeopardy of being dropped by NBC. As the ratings drop, as the stigma associated with wrestling continues, advertisers will either stop paying or demand a lower price for ad time. When NBC starts losing money from the deal with WWE, all options will be on the table.

Sure, it's likely that the 3rd hour will be dropped before the show is outright cancelled, but WWE demands a lot of money even for a 2 hour broadcast. Instead of paying WWE all that money, NBC could look to cut the fat and lean up the Monday night primetime slots with 3 hours of 3 different shows that cost a lot less than WWE does, but bring in the same amount of viewers and ad revenue, if not more ad revenue with advertisers who no longer would have to pay for time during a "wrasslin" show.

Is all of that a direct quote from Solomonster?
No, not a direct quote, but it's all stuff he's talked about over the past few years. The stuff about the "formula" is what he focused on this week, and I thought a bit more about it and said to myself, "Yeah, this is one of the problems with the show."

The second post is entirely my thoughts and while a lot of people will say NBC isn't going to be dropping Raw anytime soon, I disagree. The lower the numbers go, maybe not on a weekly basis, but clearly a downward trend year over year, NBC is going to be losing money from that and when NBC and WWE go into negotiations again, which last time scared Vince to the point that the Network was prioritized and finally launched because WWE didn't get the money they thought they would, NBC will be paying even less money, if any.

Raw is not a cheap show to produce. Every week the stage has to be set up, every week production technicians have to be paid to go to the show and produce 3+ hours of live television.

On average, Raw is pulling in 4.5 million viewers, but that's only for the first 4 months of the year because of the Royal Rumble and Road to WrestleMania, The Ultimate Thrill Ride. After Mania, come May, the viewership drops. I think that's because of the warmer weather, people are enjoying their Monday evenings out and about not watching Raw, then when September comes, it's football until the end of the year.

So, during the months of May-December, when Raw does a bad show, which is frequent apparently, the ratings drop below 3 million viewers consistently. NBC's not gonna pay WWE money for 4.5 million viewers, but only get 3 million. That's like ordering a full pizza and only getting two-thirds of one. If NBC wants, they drop Raw and replace it with three different hour long shows that cost MUCH less than Raw, yet get as much money from advertising.

It's simple math. Let's say if you pay WWE $100 million a year for Raw and you get $500 million a year from advertisers, you turn a $400 million profit. But, when Raw's ratings are dropping and advertisers will only pay $300 million, you get half as much as you use to. So, instead of paying WWE 100 million, cancel Raw and replace it with shows that cost a total of $30 million a year and with more advertisers interested in paying for ad time during those shows because they're not "wrasslin shows anymore" the advertisers will compete with each other and pay more money to get that time. Not only did you just cut costs cancelling Raw, you've just increased ad revenue to the point where yes, ratings may not be as high as Raw, but the income is the same as when Raw does bad ratings.

Boom, $70 million more in the pocket. What do you do with that money? Put it into a new show on Monday nights with more explosions, car crashes, and sex scenes to get higher ratings and more ad money.

I'm sure a lot of you are wondering who it was that sent Corey Graves that text message on Raw. Well, I can't tell you who it was, but it wasn't Kevin Nash.

IT WAS ME! IT WAS ME ALL ALONG! AND YOU ALL BOUGHT IT HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER!!!
