 SmackDown Preview: May 30, 2017 Alliances have been formed over the past few weeks in the SmackDown LIVE women’s division, but friendship will be thrown out the window when Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Carmella and Tamina square off in a 5-Way Elimination Match to determine who will challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi at WWE Money in the Bank. See who will be named No. 1 contender tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network! SmackDown Women’s Title No. 1 Contender’s 5-Way Elimination Match to take place tonight. The battle lines have been firmly drawn in the SmackDown LIVE Women's division ... but those lines are more than likely to be quickly swept away when it comes to becoming No. 1 contender to Naomi’s SmackDown Women’s Title. Tonight, there will be a 5-Way Elimination Match to determine the new No. 1 contender to Naomi's SmackDown Women's Championship. Charlotte Flair, Carmella, Becky Lynch, Natalya and Tamina will square off, and the last Superstar standing will become the next in line to try to dim The Glow. Will the "welcoming committee" stay fortified as a unit long enough to capitalize on their numbers advantage to eliminate Flair and Lynch? Or will it be every Superstar for herself with a title opportunity hanging in the balance? Find out tonight on SmackDown LIVE! Will Sami Zayn be back in action? Sami Zayn picked up his second win in three days against Baron Corbin last week on SmackDown LIVE, but The Underdog from the Underground didn’t get much time to bask in the glory of his win (and being announced as an entrant into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match). That’s because a furious Corbin beat Zayn so badly he needed to be removed from the arena on a stretcher. With WWE Money in the Bank rapidly approaching, will a recovering Zayn be able to get back in the fight? Will he be able to focus on the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and the chance to win a guaranteed WWE Title Match, or will vengeance on The Lone Wolf blind him with rage? Can anyone stop The Usos? Despite each of them falling in singles competition last Tuesday, SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy & Jey Uso showed that together, they remain a force to be reckoned with. Once again, The Usos successfully defended their titles against Breezango, leaving many to wonder who’s next to try and knock the champions off their perch? Will one of SmackDown LIVE’s finest pairings answer the call? WWE Money in the Bank momentum at stake. With just under three weeks remaining until WWE Money in the Bank, the six Superstars competing in the titular Ladder Match will be looking to get on a roll as June 18 approaches. Baron Corbin certainly tipped the scales in his favor by decimating Sami Zayn, while Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles impressed in a tag team victory over Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler. Can Zayn, The New Face of America and The Showoff gain some momentum heading into WWE Money in the Bank? Will Mahal avoid The Viper’s fangs? While Jinder Mahal reveled in his WWE Championship victory on last week’s SmackDown LIVE, the time for celebration is over. The Maharaja learned that he will be defending his title at WWE Money in the Bank against Randy Orton in The Viper’s hometown of St. Louis. There’s no doubt Mahal will be focused on proving his doubters wrong, but he’ll also need to keep his head on a swivel, as The Apex Predator will surely be out to exact retribution for his defeat at WWE Backlash.
