Seriously though I've been subbed to Stardom World for a little bit and Io Shirai & Kairi Hojo are going to raise the bar in WWE women's wrestling to a whole new level

Years ago when I found out how good Io Shirai was, I considered the prospect of her in WWE as a waste of her talent. She would have been working matches with glorified models and in 3 minute matches.

WWE is different today, so that gives me hope, but when I see stuff like Bayley: This is Your Life, it greatly concerns me what garbage Kevin Dunn and Vince McMahon will allow to be the backbone of the women's title feuds.

But, if there's any woman who can pull off a ladder match that lasts for 20 minutes and not just get through it without killing herself or get by and not make it look like shit, but actually do a ladder match that could rank right up there with HBK and Razor Ramon, Io Shirai is the one.

I mean, this woman is the closest thing to a video game wrestler that exists. I've seen (and I can't find it now of course) this video of her on the top rope, doing a somersault and then turning it into a perfect mule kick that sent her opponent flying across the ring.

Yeah everything Io does looks so fucking smooth and she can carry pretty much anyone to a good match. She was able to carry Rebel (who had pretty much the worst match of all-time last year) to a watchable match a week or two ago.

I'm more worried about Kairi than I am about Io. Io is a little Asuka-ish in some ways they can just let her loose and be a badass to wow the crowd with her in-ring ability. Plus, Io's done all there is to do in Stardom. She's in the middle of like a 2 year reign with their top belt right now and won every other title in the promotion at some point. Might as well give WWE a shot now.

Kairi on the other hand is an uber babyface (I'd say legit the best babyface in the entire company at the moment based on her Stardom character) so I can see writing completely fucking her up. She's still one of the 5 best in-ring women's wrestlers in WWE though so at least she has that. She's obviously got some cool moves too.

I just hope with Io going into WWE that she somehow, SOME WAY bring her sister Mio along too. Then, those two can team with Asuka and we can get Triple Tails back together.

That and cuz Mio is totally gorgeous.
