Just an awful show tonight and it doesn't spell good tiding for Raw the rest of the year. Thankfully AJ Styles is champ on Smackdown and hopefully he remains champ and Jinder never gets near that belt again because if Jinder does, ratings are gonna tank for WWE. If Jinder wins that title back, I'm skipping everything WWE related the rest of 2017. |

Because Roman needs to look strong. But yeah, after Brock as champion twice and after Dean held the US title for like a year and defended it about 3 times, I want this fake timetable rule that a title has to be defended every 30 days to be done away with. If you look at boxing and MMA, champions there don't defend their titles every month, so there's no need to have champions defend their titles in filler matches with scrubs like Jinder Mahal or Apollo Crews. |

I feel like Vince would use that to keep the 30 day rule because then he could say his wrestlers are tougher because they defend their championships more often. But I do see the point because it's been bent for some people and strictly enforced for others so it's weird. I imagine the situation here is that Raw can't go without both singles titles. |

True. We're seeing that when Brock is absent, the IC champ becomes the top guy on Raw, while on Smackdown we just saw that during Jinder's lackluster reign that the US championship with AJ Styles became the title with higher status. But, this is exactly what feeds into my thought as to doing away with that 30 day rule because, let's say somebody gets injured and he's going to be out a month or two. That's not exactly a long time, at least it's not like 6 or 9 months, so I don't see why someone who is injured who will be back in a month or two has to be stripped. We just saw that with Asuka, who easily could have been kept in NXT for a few more months. In that span of a few months, give that main event spot to the IC or US champion, or if it's not the WWE or Universal championship, elevate the women's title feuds or the tag titles. I know it's customary for the 2 main titles to main event ppv's, but I feel like it's been forever since the tag titles or the IC/US championship main evented a ppv. Maybe Redders can answer that: When was the last time the IC, US, and tag team championships were defended in a ppv main event? |
