It would be a mistake if WWE doesn't have some female legends take part in the Rumble. Lita should definitely be a surprise entrant, she's still fairly young and isn't popping out kids like Trish Stratus is. I think Michelle McCool would be a good choice if she's healthy. Stacy Keibler would be cool to see one more time before she turns 40. Then I'd also like to see some of the girls from the Mae Young Classic in there who could bypass NXT. People like Mia Yim and Serena have plenty of experience and would be good additions to Raw/SD Live. Then, I think Gail Kim would be a hell of a surprise and I'd like to see her in NXT for a while because she would be a great veteran presence down there. She'd be a great draw for the NXT shows on the road and when her active career is over, her and Sara Del Rey would be a hell of a training team for younger female wrestlers. |

I would say yes. While the Rumble isn't really a match that would detract from Asuka's undefeated streak, I don't see the point in having someone eliminate Asuka and take her out of a title match at Wrestlemania. I think we've seen enough squash matches with Asuka on Raw; they've already blown through the two heel jobbers on the show in Dana and Alicia, so it doesn't leave Asuka much left to work with. Yeah, having Asuka wins shoehorns her in the title match at Mania and I think that's best because, given Asuka's limitations on the mic, it doesn't require a complex build. The question is, who do you pick to have Asuka challenge for the title? Alexa isn't the strongest wrestler, but she's solid on the mic, which, again, due to Asuka's limitations, really isn't a good match. I think the best choice is Sasha Banks. She seemingly can work a great match with anybody and to use her to put Asuka over at Wrestlemania would work. Thing is, WWE seems bound to do some multi person (shocking, I know) tag match with the Four Horsewomen from NXT and the MMA Four Horsewomen. The likely choice? Is probably going to be Paige who goes into Mania as champion. Asuka overcomes the odds with Mandy and Sonya interfering all the time. Then you have Asuka run the year as Raw women's champion until Wrestlemania in 2019 and have Kairi Sane beat her and the undefeated streak. By that time Asuka will have been with WWE for 4 years and she'll be in her late 30's. Asuka can go back to Japan as Kana and finish her career back home. |

An entire year? I don't know about that. I think by that point her undefeated streak would have long run its course. |

Her undefeated streak would have run its course if it weren't for the injury and vacating the title in NXT. Since she was able to move to Raw undefeated, run with the thing. I just don't think having Mandy Rose beating Asuka at SummerSlam next year is a good move, it won't go over well. No, I think Kairi Sane should be the one to beat Asuka and not just any Asuka, a heel Asuka. Kairi is basically Japanese Bayley, she's always going to be a babyface and fan favorite. Unless WWE totally fucks her up when she moves to the main roster next year. |

![]() Raw Preview: December 25, 2017 Free agent John Cena returns to WWE for the first time since Survivor Series on a LIVE Christmas Raw. How will The Cenation Leader deal with Team Red’s most notorious Grinches? Don’t miss any of the holiday action as Raw airs commercial-free for the first hour, beginning at 8/7 C on USA Network! John Cena returns! Cena Claus is coming to town! Indeed, after fighting for SmackDown LIVE at Survivor Series, John Cena returns to Team Red for a special Christmas celebration in Chicago, the city in which he made his WWE debut against Kurt Angle back in 2002. Given his history in the Windy City, the 16-time World Champion will no doubt make this a Christmas to remember. What holiday cheer does the “Ferdinand” star have in store? The Women’s division prepares to make history. Last Monday night, sports-entertainment changed forever when Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon proclaimed that the Royal Rumble event on Sunday, Jan. 28, will play host to the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match, granting the winner a championship opportunity at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans. Based on the emotional reactions to the revelation, the Raw women will be stepping up their game in the forthcoming weeks. Will new Superstars declare for the historic bout? Who will separate themselves from the pack as the Royal Rumble event approaches? Such questions will be answered Christmas night. Who will gain momentum en route to a battle with The Beast? After Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced last Monday that Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will defend his title against both Braun Strowman and Kane in a Triple Threat Match at the Royal Rumble event, The Beast Incarnate laid out both challengers — but neither stayed down for long. Both formidable challengers will be looking for a strong close to 2017 as they prepare to take on The Conqueror. Who will face the wrath of The Monster Among Men and The Big Red Machine on Raw? How will Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins get payback for Dean Ambrose? Samoa Joe’s assault in the trainer’s room exacerbated Dean Ambrose’s arm injury, requiring The Lunatic Fringe to undergo surgery to repair the damage. Both Seth Rollins and Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns clearly want a piece of The Samoan Submission Machine after he put their Shield brother on the shelf. Who will get their hands on Joe first? Who else will declare for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match? Elias was the first Superstar to announce his participation in the 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble Match, leaving 29 spots open in the over-the-top-rope melee. Will more Superstars throw their names in the hat for a World Championship opportunity on The Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania 34? Don’t miss a special Christmas edition of Raw — with the first hour commercial-free — live at 8/7 C on USA Network! |
