If Stephanie can leave Raw for 6 months, why can't we get a break from Shane for a few months? He's been at it for over a year on Smackdown and lately, he's sucked all the focus away from the wrestlers. It'd give Danial Bryan more air time and he's still over, maybe more so than most of the roster. And speaking of Bryan, it's likely he's leaving when his contract is up next year, so who do you replace him with as the GM? Sting? Edge? Kurt Angle? HBK? Do you just abandon the brand split entirely seeing as how that angle has played itself out for what will be two years at that point? That's a pretty extreme question, but you know that eventually this brand split is coming to an end. |

There are good parts to Smackdown, I like a lot of the wrestlers and tag teams on the show, but there's something missing from it that really makes what happens on that show feel bigger or more important. Idk, maybe it's just this whole McMahon strokefest going on where whatever Stephanie and Shane are doing is the main feud or focus of the show. Thankfully we're spared in December or Stephanie on Raw because this is her vacation month, but on SD Live, we're stuck with Shane every week feuding with Owens or Sami. At some point they have to take Shane off TV for a month or two just to freshen it up. It hasn't helped that Jinder held the belt for 6 months and before he won it the WWE title got the hot potato treatment. With AJ as champ (hopefully as champ as we never know if Vince will throw the belt back on Jinder) it does make the title feud and matches better. I hope to God Vince doesn't have Jinder win at Clash of Champions because I see nothing positive coming out of another Jinder reign as WWE Champion. The goal to take Jinder from jobber to top champ worked to get him over a bit, but he doesn't belong in the main event. A run as US Champion... yeah, I can get behind that if Jinder has opponents that can wrestle like Chad Gable. It won't take much to make Smackdown great again like it was in 2016, it just requires taking certain guys out of certain spots and putting in guys who are much better, i.e Rusev. We'll see what happens at CoC. If AJ retains, SD Live has a promising 2018 ahead of it. |

There's a rumor that a Shane McMahon heel turn is in the works. What that will change though? Ehh guess he'll feud with the babyface guys rather than the heels on the show? |

That's exactly what it will be. Shane's already feuded with heel AJ, heel Owens, now heel Sami. Now he'll get turned, probably have a match with Bryan at Wrestlemania, then go on to feud with babyface Nakamura and Styles in some capacity. Might turn Orton heel at some point to be Shane's chosen champion. |
