Word on the mean streets of Greenwich, Connecticut is that a Smackdown guy is going to win the Rumble, and that Roman gets to his pre-planned showdown with Lesnar by winning the Elimination Chamber and coming out looking ever so strong.

I was thinking about who Lensar would be defending the title against now that Balor is out. Given he's already done a match with Joe, Braun, Dean, Seth, Cena, etc. I think there's a good possibility that either Miz or Cesaro challenges Lesnar.

Unless Vince has gone completely senile and puts Bray in their with Brock.

I thought about him, but came to the conclusion that if Vince okays that, then the he's actively trying to sabotage the ppv and Finn Balor. If Balor wasn't over enough to go in the ring with Brock, then all those boos Jordan keeps getting means he's not either.

No, I see Jordan being an early entrant in the Rumble match, probably lasts about 10 or 15 mins, then gets eliminated by Kane or Braun Strowman.

If the women have to go over the top rope yet many of the women aren't that tall they may have to get creative with the eliminations to make them look legit. :hmm:

They may need to recreate the reaction of this blonde security guard

It should have never been 30 women in the first place. You have two champions who aren't going to in it, proabably two other women who will be working title matches with the champs at the Rumble pre-show, so that's 4 out of the many women on the roster.

I guess WWE is really banking on some legends to return, like Lita, Trish, etc. to get pops from the crowd for what will likely be a very long and quiet match.

You think about it: it's a Rumble match, most of the women aren't over, and it's mostly going to be the same type of stuff we see in the men's Rumble with those drawn out elimination attempts where two people grab a leg, try to tip the other person over the top rope, and the person fights it for a minute straight.

There's not going to be any big spots, there's not going to be much of an in ring story told. Hell, that's another problem with Rumbles today: there's no continuation with the stories. Unlike the 90s, there are no longer finished blood feuds that get rekindled during Rumble matches. Why? Because there are almost no more blood feuds in WWE anymore.

The only few standout, memorable blood feuds we might get with the women is Sasha and Bayley, who are friends now, but I fully believe Sasha is going to eliminate Bayley, turn heel, and lead to a feud between them. Beyond them, I can't think of anything or any reason to give a shit when two women are in the Rumble together at the same time.

With Asuka, they'd have to pull out some more Japanese women who nobody but me knows, so that's not going to happen. With Lita and Trish... that's about all you fucking have is Lita and Trish. Maybe Mickie James if you put her and Trish in the ring together they can have one final moment and that will be cool, but otherwise, I'm not seeing how the women's rumble is going to excite the crowd.

If anything, I think having a SECOND Rumble match is going to kill the men's Rumble. The same stuff, the same elimination spots of hanging on the ropes for a minute straight, are going to be seen twice the same night a few hours between the mens and womens matches.

I had no problem with them doing a women's Rumble, but I realized that having two Rumbles the same night was not a good idea. My idea was 20 women and you get the entire Rumble from first entrance to final shot of the winner be a 40 minute long segment and that's it. You drag it out for over an hour and you're asking for people in the audience to turn the alarm clock function on their phones on to wake up when the long, shitty womens Rumble is over.

I'm excited to hopefully see Lita in the ring one more time, maybe see some NXT girls, and to see Asuka win, but everything else is a no, please don't make me type of reaction.

I actually completely agree with you, and have all of the same concerns for it. Multiple gimmick matches on a single show is already questionable (HIAC, elimination chamber, MITB, etc...), but 2 full Royal Rumbles is taking things way to the extreme in that regard. It's just going to be way too much, and the women's roster is way too thin to be able to pull it off and maintain interest all the way through. I honestly think it shoulda maxed out at 15 myself. But if this is going to become a new thing, and every year at the Rumble we have TWO Rumble matches to look forward to, then I dunno, that just sounds exhausting even thinking about. Hell, it might be worth considering actually holding them on separate shows.
