Unless they actually plan to build a legit women's division that they actually properly utilize from here out?

I could see Stacy Keibler, Candice Michelle, Melina (even tho she's backstage poison), Layla, Kaitlyn, maybe AJ Lee someday, etc. could all be used in the future. Also, they have plenty of women in NXT they could use. Hey, having a lot of the women in the match who we haven't seen in the ring that often the past 5-10 years was part of the appeal. Lita doing 5 minutes in the Rumble hitting her best moves was a way to limit her activity because she's not in her 20s or early 30s anymore. Besides the Rumble, it's doubtful that we'd ever see her in a match again. I think the money is good enough in WWE that they could get just about any female wrestler they wanted. Gail Kim, Velvet Sky, Mia Yim, Rosemary, Io Shirai, Syuri Kondo, Makoto, Hikaru Shida... the list could go on and on. The issue again, and I talked about this in a long post to Joe in the Bayley sucks thread, is that you need to give the women more time than just two segments on Raw and Smackdown. They need their own hour show on the Network in addition to what's on Raw/SD. Then you can have a women's tag team championship be a viable possibility and you can write feuds for non-title matches that are deeper than Twitter feuds and Total Divas nonsense. That may mean 205 Live has to go, but I think the Crusierweights can be fine if you let them float between both Raw and Smackdown and have a floating GM for 205 Live who appears on both shows.

I'm honestly shocked that, for the first time in forever, they actually didn't fuck up the Rumble. Just as shocked as I was. The non-Rumble matches were pretty weak, but it could have been much worse. I think the originality of the women's Rumble helped save this ppv for years to come. But, the Rumble is over now and we have to go back to the usual dredge of weekly shows. That's really where WWE has been the weakest lately, but they've never really been able to do a good job of writing television between Survivor Series and the Rumble, so we'll see. Unfortunately we're going to get saddled with Shane and Bryan angst, Stephanie's berating of wrestlers on Raw, Jason Jordan and that stupid angle, and oh yeah, Cena and Undertaker possibly.

It was a great rumble debut for the division imho. Started out with the right two women to get the crowd into it; called up the two more exciting nxters, awesome pop for them; and ended with a great finish (easily tops the mens). Also, I was hyped molly holly was one of the surprise entrants. Hoping Victoria gets to be in the next one.

I don't think Asuka picked a champion? Ronda came out and I think she challenged Asuka, Charlotte, and Alexa at Mania. You got all that from Ronda pointing at the wrestlemania sign? Well she didn't exactly come out to point at the sign as a means to translate to Asuka what winning the Rumble meant. It sounds as though the plan is for Triple H and Stephanie to face Ronda and a partner at Wrestlemania. I'm sure they'd like it to be The Rock to play off that angle they did one year. As for Asuka she still gets to pick I suppose.

Everybody looks out of their element pointing at that fucking sign. They've made the Undertaker do is so many times for years, even when he didn't point, he'd look at it and nod. The pointing at the sign, the shaky camera, the lightening fast cuts to different shots during brawls... it's horrible production.
