Yeah, they just don't come off well. They definitely make it feel like in Kayfabe the wrestlers are always in wrestling mode, but something about it just doesn't fit. I think the reason they're doing them is it doesn't take much to have somebody cut a 30 second promo into their sell phone and send it to the production crew. Probably cheaper than having a camera guy, lighting, an interviewer with a microphone, and a set.
