I think I see the plan now with Cena-Taker. I don't think they'll put the match off until next year's Mania. If anything, WM35 could be the career vs career rematch between the two (yes, I just predicted that we will have a Cena-Taker match two years in a row.) Cena may show up tonight on Smackdown to cut a final, last ditch effort promo because he's a "Free Agent" and Taker will still not show up. They're going to wait until Mania and Cena will be sitting in the front row with a Bryan YES YES YES shirt on and a thing of popcorn and at some point in the night, Taker will show up, on the motorcycle, and accept Cena's challenge. Taker will win after a relatively short match because that's all Taker can go for nowadays, but also because it will create a storyline where "Oh, John Cena wasn't prepared! He had been craving this match for so long, he didn't think about the consequences of not warming up." and so on. So the next night on Raw we'll get whiny John Cena doing his whiny thing and he'll appeal to Taker's sense of pride and respect and Taker will come out and say he'll do a rematch with Cena at next year's Wrestlemania... under one condition: that if Cena loses, his career is over. Cena will counter with the same and Taker will accept because he knows his days are numbered and if one more man beats him at Wrestlemania, he doesn't deserve to wrestle again. So, that's the plan I see unfolding. |

I just think it's such a bizarre angle heading into a Wrestlemania of all shows. I mean, that's a pretty major match that they can't even actually advertise as being a part of the show going in.

It is bizarre and it makes no sense given what could have been done with Undertaker in the lead up to Wrestlemania. Instead of Undertaker, we got TWO Kane sightings instead. WTF? |

I think Demon Balor is used more for singles matches. I think WWE protects that gimmick as much as possible and putting Demon Balor out there only for him to possibly not win, but also not get pinned doesn't flush out well with all the players involved in the creative process. |

At this point I would say it's a toss up between him and Rollins. I figure whoever wins it they're going to feud over it and the other will win it down the line. |

Maybe it's just the fantasy booker in me, but I guess I figured Balor would win the title at Mania (of the two, I'd say he needs this win the most), then he and Rollins could enter a singles feud where they trade the title back and forth a few times. Meanwhile, no longer with the IC title, and with the Universal title back on the show full time after Roman takes it off of Lesnar, Miz can be elevated into the main event scene proper. Perhaps not win the title immediately, but hopefully somewhere down the line. All leading up to my dream main event for next year's Wrestlemania, that being Miz as either the WWE or Universal Champion defending against Daniel Bryan. ... ... ... but of course, who am I kidding, none of this will actually happen...
