Smackdown was pretty good, but I gotta do a *sigh* because WWE is again trying to get people interested in a babyface Ziggler just to bury the fucker later. I'm not falling for it. The Ziggler and Corbin additions were done because there is a great apathy of Owens and Zayn in the WWE title picture and because it furthered the Shane/Bryan divide. Nobody is going to buy into anybody other than Styles winning the match. I don't even understand why they have to have a WWE title match at Fastlane anyway. Nakamura is set up to feud with Styles, it's the match people want to see and what purpose does having Styles on Fastlane serve? It's just another risk where a guy could get hurt on a simple spot and fuck up Mania plans. I mean, if it's okay for Lesnar to be an absent champ, for Charlotte to not defend the title since December, then why does Styles have to be shoved into a match? |

They need help to sell the Smackdown ppv's, absolutely because currently they're a one trick pony with Styles and Nakamura. Other than those two, SD has very little to sell to us, so I understand that, but it all comes off as cheap, especially how awful the central plot on Smackdown is right now with Bryan and Shane. The dual branded shows is a good idea, but I don't like the idea of having 8 title matches on a ppv every month. These ppv's are long enough already. |

 SmackDown Preview: February 20, 2018 Over the past two weeks, SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has been picking apart The Riott Squad as payback for the vicious attack that nearly cost her the title. After The Queen defeated Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan in singles competition, Ruby Riott issued a challenge to Flair, Becky Lynch & Naomi for a Six-Woman Tag Team throwdown. What will happen in this heated brawl? Charlotte Flair, Naomi & Becky Lynch to battle The Riott Squad. Charlotte Flair’s quest for payback on The Riott Squad will explode this Tuesday when the SmackDown Women’s Champion teams up with Becky Lynch and Naomi to battle Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan on SmackDown LIVE. The Riott Squad left Charlotte unconscious for the first time in her career, nearly costing The Queen her title. Though Flair did not lose the championship, she vowed to get retribution on her attackers. She walked into the lion’s den, facing Liv Morgan by herself with Riott & Logan on the outside. When the other two Riott Squad members were ejected from ringside, Charlotte earned the victory, then made her intentions clear afterward, saying “one down, two to go.” One week later, she took on Logan, this time with Lynch and Naomi in her corner. With the odds evened, The Riott Squad did not meddle in the match, and Flair picked up another win. In a video posted to Ruby Riott’s Twitter, The Riott Squad issued the challenge for a six-woman showdown, saying that it’s only a matter of time before Flair’s whole world crumbles. What will happen when these two trios collide in the ring? How will WWE Champion AJ Styles deal with his upcoming Fatal 5-Way Match? Last Tuesday, WWE Champion AJ Styles went into SmackDown LIVE with only two opponents challenging for his title at WWE Fastlane. By the end of the night, The Phenomenal One had four challengers, as Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin earned their way into what has become a Fatal 5-Way Match. Styles has made it clear that he’s not the biggest fan of how Daniel Bryan has been handling the situation with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, but what will he have to say now that Bryan and McMahon’s decision-making has backed him into a corner on The Road to WrestleMania? The New Day to battle Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable. SmackDown LIVE has just gotten “serious.” One week after Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable interrupted Big E’s attempt to break an all-time pancake-eating record — an insulting interruption that preceded a loss to The New Day — SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan has decreed that the teams will square off once again this week, and the winners will challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at WWE Fastlane.
