Seriously though, that was one hell of a finish to a fantastic show. At least three of those matches could be considered classics, with two pretty decent ones on top of that. Well f*cking done.  Eat your heart out Wrestlemania.

Gargano and Ciampa definitely Match of the Year so far, can't see how anyone is topping that. Funny that and Kenny-Cody took place at like, around the same time. |

Yes, Shane and his kids were at NXT. Judging by their reactions, it appears Shane’s boys are Gargano fans Where to begin, what an awesome show, start to finish. 6-man ladder match was my favorite. So much brutal stuff. I’m a sucker for spotfests. Ricochet seems like a real life superhero. He is awesome. Adam Cole BayBay is the most over part of NXT. That’s the new Nakamura sing-a-long. I can’t get over that match. Awesome stuff by all. Shayna v Moon was good. I was cooling off so I couldn’t get into the match as much as I wanted. Shayna putting her shoulder back in via ringpost was great. Super creative. Moon is destined to be made into nothing when she moves up. Her best times are officially over. I was thinking we may get Dijak to replace Cole and when we didn’t I began thinking the Roddy turn may come. Well done. AOP will go to SD! and be just another team. I’m starting to wonder if Roddy will be like Ohno in that he never goes up to the main roster. Black is champ and I am so happy. That man has such a presence about him and will be a great main attraction for them. I expect a lengthy title reign with Black. Almas is main roster bound and deservably so. He’s an example of what NXT is truly meant for. Also shows what a manager can do for someone. A beautiful story told by Gargano and Ciampa. That ending was one of my favorite endings to a match that I can recall watching. So artistic and powerful. Outstanding stuff. And that sunset-flip powerbomb onto the concrete was rough to watch. So many parts of that match were honestly. That was my favorite TakeOver to date and the previous one was my favorite before this. NXT is back to another gold standard period. |

Totally agree on everything except the main event because I missed that to watch DBZ Super half asleep. I'll be going back to watch that in a few. The opener was a great ladder match, possibly the best multi-man ladder match I've seen since the TLC matches of the early 00's. Apart from a few places, the match was so smooth and fluid and the spots were fucking incredible, most especially those from Richochet and Velveteen Dream. IMO, it was a 5 star match. The women's title match was good, maybe great. It was definitely not going to surpass the previous match, so the cool off was exactly what it was supposed to be and generally when you have a heel win a title or a big ppv match, it's best to have them do it after a very hot match. That aside, it was probably the best Ember Moon match I've seen that didn't involve Asuka. She performed as good as I've ever seen her perform and she did a great job telling a story. Shayna tho, did a better job telling a story and I'm really impressed with how well she does doing that given her lack of experience. She takes what she's given and she turns it into something that's interesting to watch. I've watched her and felt her segments or matches come off as bland. What she may lack in being able to cut promos in front of a live audience or wrestling ability, she makes up for it with her presence. She captures that legit badass character like Brock Lesnar does and she comes off as more of a badass than Ronda Rousey even. The future is bright for Shayna. The future for Ember is exactly as you describe it. She's the next Emma. I'm not sure what AOP is going to become. Vince loves big guys and Akam and Razar are big guys, but I don't see them becoming singles wrestlers in the future and generally the only tag teams in WWE that are pushed are those that contain guys that have the potential to be singles stars. If Vince doesn't see much in them as singles guys, then I think they're going to become the next Ascension by the end of the year. Roderick will get called up eventually, but probably stuck in the Crusierweights. Black and Almas was better than I expected, but who really makes the matches better by adding heat is Zelina Vega. Without her, Almas is nothing. I think they're Raw bound, Vince is desperate to get some more Latino stars on his shows for merch sales. Watch Almas win KotR or MitB this year. This Takeover was probably the best I've ever seen. Every match was exceptionally good and I'd say that the only other Takeover that could rival this one is the first Brooklyn show in 2015. |
