This event is kind of strange with how much it's promoted but yet the women can't compete. Saudi Arabia is an entirely different culture so they won't allow any women's matches on the show but that's the complete opposite direction the company has taken as of late. Examples such as the women's elimination chamber and royal rumble shows that WWE believe their work can be equal to the men's. It just seems like a step backwards. I understand the fact that this is business and WWE is trying to reach a new market and expand their brand, but they could do the show in Saudi Arabia but then save this mega show idea for somewhere else so that the women aren't completely left out.
Or an idea that I heard floated today on a podcast from a listener is that WWE could have done some live events Thursday, Friday, and Saturday featuring just women. They could have run 2-3 hour long shows with a bunch of different matches that aren't just all fucking 6 or 8 woman tags and they could have called up some NXT's to join in, maybe even have some local talent they're scouting do some matches.

But that's not in the works and it's too late to do that now because they probably wouldn't be able to find a venue to do such a thing. More wasted potential from the WPF, Wasted Potential Federation.

So what was up with that Wrestlemania 33 ending anyways? :hmm:
Taker was tired of his wife never folding the laundry when it's clean so he did it during the last moments of WM33 and went over to McCool and said, "She bitch, it's not that hard."

In other Rusev news, apparently WWE swapped out audio of the crowd chanting "Rusev Day" live on television this week and changed it to chants of "AJ Styles" in their youtube upload. So, sounds more likely that they're still just trying to bury the dude, for lord knows what reason at this point.
Because they don't see him as anything more than a jobber. They gave him that push early on solely so Cena could save the fucking day again and protect America. After that, Rusev was just another body on the roster who Vince could throw out there to kill time on the undercard.

It's all very much the same thing with Dolph Ziggler. It's hard to remember, but there was a time when Ziggler was over and looked like he could be a big star in the making, but he just jobbed and jobbed in so many big matches that fans eventually gave up on him and he only stayed around because it's easy money. I fear Rusev will do the same thing, even though he and Lana could leave and go to ROH and be another Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes.

That may happen after the match with Undertaker. I'm sure Rusev is going to get a nice check from the match and once the check clears, he'll likely request his release. I just don't see Rusev sticking around long, there's no point for him to.

Has it been said if the winner of this rumble receives like a title shot or something? If not and it's just all for shits and giggles then you might as well pencil in Braun Strowman as the winner. That way they don't have to worry about screwing him out of a title win again.
Winner gets a trophy.

49 other guys are gonna get them hands.

More silliness? You got it.

So the story behind this whole Rusev/Undertaker thing was once the match was announced those human vultures at TMZ interrupted Lana and Rusev celebrating Rusev Day to ask about the match. The headline on TMZ was something like "Rusev is gonna retire Undertaker and crush his old ass!". Now while Rusev didn't call Undertaker old he did say he was past his prime and that he would crush Undertaker so bad it would be his last match. Once WWE saw this on TMZ they thought Rusev was being disrespectful as they don't want their legends to be made out to be old, and they though Taker would take offense so they switched Rusev for Jericho. But Undertaker eventually said he wasn't offended by it and Rusev didn't really say anything all that disrespectful anyway so he was placed back into the match.
What is a wrestling promo anyways?
The stuff that the writers tell you to say... word for word.

I wonder if Paul Heyman is concerned at all about going to Saudi Arabia. I hear people like him aren't too welcome there.

Booker: Seth Rollins is the champion but will he want to lose it on this grand stage?

Why would Seth ever want to lose the championship?
