The match between Gargano and Ciampa that is planned to happen on this show was meant to be a last man standing match, but all of a sudden that became the stipulation for AJ/Nak so Gargano and Ciampa had to come up with a different stipulation. Likely a street fight. |

How about an Iron Man match? I still like the idea of someone having an I Quit match, seems like it'll be fitting for Gargano and Ciampa. Knowing they generally go with the generic stipulations, it'll probably be booked just as a No DQ match. |

Sounds as though Mauro Ranallo has a boxing commitment to do so he won't be calling this show. Taking his place will be Cole-bot 3.0 on commentary. It's too bad that Ranallo can't do it because even though he says silly shit from time to time his passion really helps to sell the action. |

I was thinking about skipping this show, but then I remembered "Hey, this is the one with Riccochet and the Dream" and now I see Nikki Cross and Shayna have a title match too. Guess I'll be watching those matches tonight. As usual, the NXT title match is the one that interests me the least on every Takeover show. I'm not saying that they are usually bad matches, they're usually really good, it's just that going into every NXT title match at a Takeover, there's always something missing to make it bigger or stand out. Cuz, here's the thing: the biggest match on this show is going to be Gargano and Chiampa and that's the match that's had the most story in it. I hope Oney and Danny win the tag titles. They need the push, the tag titles need some excitement and drama added to them. The tag situation in NXT right now is not good, not since AOP and Sanity were moved to WWE. Nikki actually comes off as an opponent that could beat Shayna, but Shayna is a smarter fighter. That will be the story told here and Shayna will win via submission. All of it is building to a 5 way at Brooklyn with Shayna, Nikki, Kari Sane, Dakota Kai, and Bianca Belair. Edited by T-Unit, Jun 16 2018, 04:19:57 PM.
