Of all the people who win an open challenge match, it's Dolph "big match jobber" Ziggler? His career has been dead since 2015 and he's the guy that derails the top champion on Raw in Rollins? My thoughts are that Vince was concerned Rollins is supplanting Lesnar as the top champ and Roman as the top babyface, so he had to have him drop the belt. Now the Rollins and Ambrose match isn't even going to be for the IC title, unless Rollins wins it back (which if he does WTF is the point of that?) or Ambrose wins it from Ziggler in a surprise match. Ziggler was thrown into this for no reason and maybe it could have been that nobody had anything for Ziggler and Mcintyre and Vince made the call to put the belt on him to look like he's doing something. I don't think Vince cares about anyone overtaking Lesnar as the top champ because Vince loves Lesnar and if he was ever worried about that he'd have Lesnar appear more often. Ziggler's win does come out of nowhere, but I'd like to think they have some sort of plan for it. If they didn't then it would have made more sense for Elias to win at the ppv. My guess is Ziggler gets to continue his rip-off of Shawn Michaels by being IC champion while Drew plays the role of his Diesel and watches his back. That's why I'm guessing during the rematch Drew crushes Seth's head between his massive thighs to help Dolph retain.
