The Lord was writing a paper in his study as a loud slam of a door erupted from the front of him. He thinks about whom it could be and then unwillingly he raises his head to see who it was in the room with him. At first he sees the dress the person is wearing and then quickly he gets excited as he gets to the face. He smiles slightly and begins to speak, “I am perplexed to see you here. Haven’t you heard I am struck with melancholy? You wouldn’t want to catch it.” He loved to tease his sister even if it was a bit of an attack on him at times he knew she would understand his humor on even the darkest of things.

She smiles and tucks the blonde hair on the right side of her head behind her ear. “I have heard many stories but stories nonetheless. We both know stories aren’t ever true. If I had listened to stories I would be looking for your grave,” she enjoyed her relationship with her brother he was the only one that would joke about death with her. “I do wonder though. Why you are so sad my brother? What is hindering your spirit?” She was concerned for her brother besides her daughter she had no other family, no other man to comfort her.

The Lord stood up and walked softly to his sister opening up his arms so he could embrace her love. “You have nothing to worry about just been thinking lately that is all. No need for you to worry about me I will be lively again. Trust me without your smile and your sisterly love I would be very lost. Now let’s go meet our daughter.” He thought about his daughter and how his sister had given her to him years back for protection. She truly was their daughter, he raised her and she gave birth to her, if not only her actual father wasn’t a malicious man he would of barely knew his niece. As they moved out fo the study to the hallway he noticed the crude look on the guards face. He wondered if the guard had a problem with him or his sister. But he feared speaking up he will just joke to his sister alter. They moved gracefully down the corridor to the entrance. The large wooden and metal door stood strong in front of them blocking anyone who would want to get in, some argue its to keep the lord from going out but it was merely whispers for the Lord could freely move in and out as he pleased.

They both moved into the sunny day to be greeted by the shade of a few guards blocking their way. Once the Lords eyes adjusted to the light he noticed that the guards weren’t there to block him from leaving but merely to protect him from the now silent crowd that had amassed at his gate. Then all at once the crowd became to uproar with inquires. “Akrini tribe has raided a village!” He heard from a few, other screamed, “We must go to war with Frink for raiding a village!”

When the crowd quieted down to allow the Lord to answer he said to words, “In time.” As he retreated to the safety of his castle.
